Have played for about 40 years, still suck lol but this video makes a lot of sense for someone wanting to learn a stringed instrument.

Thanks for the video! My kid just told me he wants a guitar, but I've been a bit hesitant because I don't want him to have a bad experience if it's too early and then not want to play anymore (even when he gets older). I was thinking about getting him a nylon string guitalele, but maybe a ukulele would be a better choice for a first instrument since, as you said, they have fewer strings. Definitely something for me to think about!

Nah, buy him a cheap yet decent nylon guitar. Make him understand the lesson, that you have to be bad at something to get good. Make him enjoy the process of noticing the slow improvement. The slow improvement then builds somehow into one song. And so on. Be smart.

Too late! I already found a decent, shorter-scale electric guitar at a flea market. But it does sound like good, logical advice, so now I'm considering a ukulele for my granddaughter.

So glad your channel is starting to get attention! Your videos are so well done and informative, I can (and have) spent hours watching and learning. Don't feel bad about trying to sell things, you're simply giving an honest review, and you deserve the growth and recognition its bringing!
