That's a cool srategy of using commutators! When I figured out how to solve the Square-2 after the Square-1, I combined all the corner halves together arbitrarily first, then used an edge-cycling algorithm I made for Square-1 to cycle corner halves as if they were edges, until they were all paired up. This reduced the puzzle to a Square-1 and then I solved it from there. Cool to see another solution to the same puzzle!

When you're making a mistake like having blue to the right of red when yellow is on top or I see things like the h perm at the end.... it really makes me want to buy this puzzle. Same with the puppet cube. 🤣 Obviously I would not be able to do this faster or better, but for whatever reason... that feeling of catching one or two things empowers you and you want to buy the puzzle so you can solve it and prove it to yourself. Great sales tactic!

Nice! Loved to see a solution that isn't the usual redux method. What I do is really similar: First solve the first layer intuitively, then cycle one by one the pieces of the second layer with an alg that I got while solving a Time Machine. The interesting part is that, as far as I used that method, I can get no parities at all or I can get consistent parities, depending if I go clock-wise or counterclock-wise when solving the second layer

Also I've gotten the Jperm RS3M 2020 about a month ago and from averaging 39 seconds with nearly all oll algs learned, to averaging 25 seconds with the exact same oll conditions to averaging 20-21 seconds with full oll! Nice video man, as someone who can speed solve a square 1 but never attempted a square 2 my approach would be a reduction method, solving the square 2 into a scrambled square 1. For not much square 1 knowledge you did a frigging awesome job man, well done! Watching your videos is also why I started my own channel, you're an inspiration to a 40 year cuber 🤣

That’s a pretty cool way of solving it although it’s very complicated as opposed to just reducing it down to a sq-1 although seeing as you don’t exactly know how to solve one of those this was a great way to figure it out!

He also could have used the pll alg he figured out in the Sq-1 video and switch every piece similar to the simple commutator alg since every piece can be solved the same way. But yeah, using redux would have been much faster

Your "Trying to solve with no help" videos make me wish I had the funds to buy myself a new puzzle cube everytime I finish one, and try to solve it without help(currently stuck in Puppet V1), but That's a wish far from realization. I only get one cube per year(somewhat cheap ones only). I am, however, confidant, thanks to you, that I will buy more cubes in the future.

JUST GOT MY JELLY CUBE!! Its veeeryy smooth it hascute soft colors. It may be hard to recognize, but I definetly recommend. It is very cheap, especially on aliexpress, 2 ollars with 5 dollar shipping. Came in 2 weeks to Turkey. Btw no reviewer talked about this but it also has a spring system. It feels so stable, but also fast. Corner cutting is not that much but still very good. Makes sound but I actually like it. But still a little silent. ASMR cornercutting sound for me. Very stable when arrived. Really cute box too. If you buy it you wont regret it. Im too excited.
