Love To see you chase a hold out of hobby or another one like this.. we opened 20 blasters this year and we’re lucky to hit a parson la kaboom!

I started to collect again a few years ago. I went into a Walmart and saw a few packs while I was checking out. Opened them and hit a free brees kaboom my first pack. I was hooked ever since.

I know technically blasters come in cases but each blaster is it's own thing so the odds won't change regardless of what you pull. You could theoretically pull a Kaboom in 10 consecutive blasters.

No you are completely wrong about that. Not sure where you came up with that. With that theory every box would be it's own thing and them coming in a case wouldn't matter. It's called a case hit because there should be one within the "boxes, blasters, etc" per case.

@@ryanhavok584 guys the term "case hit" really only applies to Hobby products. The Kaboom in retail is NOT a case hit. If you want to be honest about it they are probably one in ten cases hit.

I bought 2 packs (the Purple ones) at a Walgreens a little over a year ago & the 1st pack had a Josh Allen KaBoom in it. Sold it on eBay for $650 if I remember correctly.

I know exactly what you’re saying. I pulled the Mahomes blazer and was originally fooled into thinking it was a downtown when I first saw the lasers

This reminds me of opening packs in the 90s. We were chasing inserts back then. Refractors or something like that, autos really didn’t come until the later 90s and they were insanely rare! But anyway most hobby boxes were exactly like this back then. 99% base and maybe a few inserts.

For someone who routinely cracks boxes worth thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars apiece, this must have felt like 90 minutes of dumpster diving 🤣 But one of the most entertaining videos of the year for sure!

@Packman you need to grab a few boxes of the new Wild Chrome Draft 2023 pretty Really nice 6 autos all Encased all 50 and under #s limited boxes. Def worth checking out

Good rip dude. I bought 3 2022 absolute blasters online last month and pulled a Micah Parsons Kaboom. I didn't even know they were in them. I remember as I was going thru the cards there was this super shiny card and it literally kept glaring at me. Didn't know what to do after. But, after watching this video I def have more respect for the card seeing how rare they actually are.

First blaster box of Donruss last year showed up from Target. First pack pulled a TB12 Downtown. Never pulled Optic DT, Kaboom. Hit a ton of HoloHeroes and a bunch of Genesis, best being a true rookie Justin Fields (I’m a bears fan so PC gold)

Topps series 1, and other sets, have the rare Hidden Gems insert that may be worth chasing. I don't personally open wax, but for my boy I'll buy him a blaster every once in a while. Topps baseball is his favorite and he's pulled a lot of low numbered and autos. Two of them being #/5, and ofcourse they're on card since there's only 1 baseball set a year Topps puts out with stickers.

I had ordered 10 blasters back in 2021, was about 7 in when I hit a Trey Lance Kaboom back when he was hyped up. Glad I sold it when it did lol!

A goal of mine was to hit a kaboom from retail. Only retail available weee fat packs. I hit it after 200 packs. Devonta Smith! …was stolen with a bunch of other cards from my house when I was on vacation a week later. 🤦

I pulled a downtown Kurt Warner from a retail pack from target. Bought maybe 5 packs and it was my first opening of Donruss

With your luck I’m sure your gonna open a single and get a kaboom I wouldn’t doubt it your the packs goat !!!

I thought of something interesting you could do for a challenge video, that would be possibly fun and difficult too. Try getting a rookie card for all 32 teams first pick in the draft of this year. Or try to do a current depth chart starters video of trying to pull the entire Giants (since its your favorite team) for the offense and defense as well as Kicker and Punter too in a single video. I wonder which of those would be more difficult?

I bought 1 $15 value pack of donruss optic football and pulled a najee harris rookie downtown. I had bought prob 10 to 15 blasters already but that was my lone value pack cause was always sold out by time i got there and that one time it was last one left on bottom shelf.

Got to go mega box route. Less megas per case. Hit one on my 2nd mega

I have pulled a downtown from 1 blaster, a stained glass from 1 mega box, and I don’t know how it happened but a kaboom from a singular hanger pack

Chasing a gold Kaboom in hobby sounds pretty epic!

I have pulled a kaboom from 2022, it took about 4+ boxes from random trips to Freddy's and Walmart. Picked 1 of 2 boxes and it had a kenny pickett kaboom in it. I freaked out (was over $800 at the time). I've also pulled a zappe auto /50 and some mems (napkin patches)

Good lord... That was brutal, but still fun to watch. You have definitely convinced me to never purchase Absolute retail in any configuration. Thanks Packman!

I remember I was in a discord group who found out the weight of packs with kaboom in the retail packs. Chances are a lot of these packs were searched

i pulled a downtown rookie trey lance DT Brett farve 2020 optic DT Santa Clause and Kaboom Barry Sanders all from retail. I open maybe 5-10 blasters a year. Guess I have decent luck.

I have never pulled a kaboom in my!!! Lol and I have pulled some really nice and rare cards I don't know how many downtown's that I have pulled but I haven't even come close to pulling a kaboom

I pullled a /25 Tatum Rookie Auto and Kobe Bryant /25 Auto out of 2017-18 Optic Retail.Both were Redemptions and got screwed by Panini and those Kobe Packs

What can you hit first 10 kabooms or a gold/green kaboom

I found some blaster boxes of these online for about $18 each compared to their usual $29.99 (at least from what i've seen). Should be here within the next few days, i'm stoked to rip the packs, I just got back into collecting again after about a 13-14 year break, so i'm learning so much new stuff and so many sets have cool arts. Sticking to retail as of right now, don't know if i could afford the Hobby Boxes and stuff

Biggest hit I have managed from retail was from a $3 random team in a 3 nba blaster break...landed the Pistons and our popped a Cade Cunningham Youth Explosion Gold /10 Rookie Auto redemption, and when Panini sent out the card, it just so happens to be a jersey match too, 2/10. Just need those Pistons to start getting it together!

Retail is great for kids and beginners or people who enjoy opening packs. My 12 year old enjoys opening them. I wish they would put more numbered cards in them like this years Prestige but when they do that you can’t find them in the stores because resellers buy them up. Prices are also to high for this product. My kid works hard for his money and sad he can’t enjoy the hunt. I tell him just to buy the cards he wants.
