I was in my teens in that NWD freeride era. It ended with two cracked vertebrae for me and I assure you the „drink another beer and you’ll clear it“ was definitely a thing. Also passing out at 6 and being at the starting line of the DH race at 10 was everydays business back then, even the pros did it. There’s a video out there where Peaty and Danny Hart talk about chugging a beer directly before the race, because they needs to counter their hangover.

Remy takes this game to the next level. He's super analytical about every feature he rides and explains them to a depth most other riders are not doing, and intellectually may not be able to. Intense!!
I’m blown away. When I saw that segment a while back I was like that’s kinda intense. Now seeing a more in depth look at that line from the top, middle and bottom. I am blown away, thank you cameraman for trying to show how steep it is. That is one of the gnarliest features I’ve ever seen. Remy, you’re the man. Please do more collaborations. I love seeing you interact with all these amazing riders and how styles clash or complement each other.

Yo Remy! you guys are crazy.. but my favourite part is when you said "we're being responsible while doing stupid stuff". classic!
The lack of protective gear vs the high risks made me sweat buckets, wow, 10/10, so gnarly, steep and technical, this is a whole other level of riding, like, many downhill racers would struggle or won´t even ride this, insane, truly amazing what you can go down in a bike. And I mean I loove the tech and steep stuff but man, you have to be on your a-game or you pretty much dig your own grave there. BRAVO!!!! huge applause to you guys, you are inspiring people:)
As a complete newbie, I really appreciate seeing the process of learning a line. It makes me feel better about getting off my bike to take a look at the trail before hitting it.

28:50 "Oh, it's actually not too bad". Are you sure? I mean it certainly looks really, really bad. Even on video. Best half hour I've spent all week.
The riding goes without saying, but mad props to the cameraman. You know it's gnarly when the cameraman is wearing a helmet.

Getting goose bumps just watching in 2D. I can't imagine the rush to be there! The riding philosophy, style, and the camera angles are top notch!!!
My favorite parts of this video is all the technical talk and assessment before each feature. It shows how much intelligent forethought and planning go into this type of riding, and that it's not just a bunch of lunatics with a death wish like some people think. Thanks for leaving all that in the video.

Utterly incredible. Your control before the gap is unbelievable considering the gradient. But both of you are awesome to watch.
