If you lose 10 coins every death, it would take 24.010 coins. But mario can only carry 9.999 coins. So at one point you would be having to get more coins.

DatGreen We got Luigi in other Mario only titled games like mario world and galaxy. And that's another thing, we got SO many mario characters and enemies in the game and yet we only get a costume that mario wears for luigi. It just seems odd to me considering nintendo knows how much most people like luigi, but I guess that's just nintendo being nintendo haha. Aside from that the game is flawless though.

Assuming it takes 6 seconds for you to run around the fountain one time, 4:10 - 4:16, that means you spent 14,406 seconds (6 x 2401). Converting this to minutes means that you spent 240 minutes and 6 seconds. Converting this to hours... You spent more than 4 hours going around the fountain 2401 times. RIP afternoon indeed,RIP. Honestly, Luigi not being in Odyssey was a dissapointment for me, we arent in the 64 days anymore. Nintendo does everything right except something as simple as putting the characters of the franchise in the games. Only for that, i think the Game is a 9.999999/10. Just change the time on your Nintendo Switch. If that doesn't work then change to the time to the closest you can get it, turn your switch off, and repeat.

Even though I beat SM64 in the 90s, I never heard about these Luigi myths until recently. I'm convinced that someone trolled a lot of gamers and got a huge laugh out of it.

It seemed like a troll for the longest time…until July 25th 2020, 24 years after SM64’s original release, when a beta version of the game was leaked in Japan. Inside it’s sacred contents, they actually found Luigi’s model and his planned voice lines!! Definitely do a quick google or watch a video on it. It’s absolutely insane to me that such an unlikely rumour ended up actually being true

Man, that's really obvious. You have to do it on the year 2401, in the day 24, month 1, and you need that you played at least 2401 hours and THEN, you wait 2401 seconds in the game. BOOM! You unlocked 2-player.

Luigi is not in the game by default, to unlock him you have to win every cup in Mario Kart as Luigi, every board in Mario Party as Luigi, and unlock Luigi in Super Smash Bros. Every time you complete one of these, you must take out the cartridge and swap it with Mario 64- I mean Odyssey, and start a new save file. Assuming you already have a default save, this means all 4 slots will be taken up, after this is done, delete your first save and restart it and there you will have the option to play as Luigi.
