Unfortunately, many of these people consider themselves Christians protecting our country from "evil". Note the Christian Cross tattooed over one of the attacker's heart. Trump has attempted to blend Christians with hate groups into his base. It has resulted in a perfect storm of hate and evilness. Good people who try to follow Christian beliefs are now sickened by the result. They are frightened and exhausted by Trumpism, or they double down, following Trump blindly while also essentially abandoning their faith, unable to live according to both the President and the true path of a loving Christian God. We are literally in purgatory with Trump as President. Christian or not, there is no hope under his leadership "brand". Disgusting.

Texas but my High School in the 70s was a lot more progressive than most schools are now. I lived in a suburb of Dallas where many of our parents worked for high tech, international companies like Rockwell, E Systems, Texas Instruments, Eriksson, etc. We had students whose parents were from more than 60 different countries, and that diversity was encouraged and celebrated, racism wasn't tolerated. About 10 percent of students were black, and we had no stupid "dress codes" that prohibited natural hair and expression of style. One of the smartest guys sat behind me in Algebra, and helped me pass that class (I still suck at math). "Cubby" was also a star athlete, funny, cute, very popular, and had a HUGE afro that wouldn't be allowed in school now. I'm glad he didn't get hassled about his hair and was able to focus on being successful in school. He earned a full scholarship to Grambling U, and was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys upon graduation and is now a member of the NFL Hall of Fame. Cubby is better known as Everson Walls.

He showed up with 5 people, crossed on to Private Property, were met and asked to leave while being informed it was private property by an individual on a quad, ignored the request and pressed further onto the property until you met a group of people who informed you again that you were on Private Property and asked you to leave; following which you became confrontational, stepping away from your group and approaching the people on the property. That ended in an altercation in which he were restrained against a tree, at which time one of the companions began filming, and there was an argument between the two groups that led to one of the people from the other group slapping a phone out of his friends hand, which he picked up almost immediately while moving to stand behind him and film. Their were 5 or 6 total cameras recording on his side, among his group, and not one of them captured any video that confirms his accusations. He has a history of causing altercations and becoming confrontational, which has resulted in him being banned from several businesses in his area, and he is considered a vocal and confrontational activist by people in his community. Beyond that, he is known to have political aspirations. Criminal Trespass is a Level 6 Felony Offense in the State of Indiana, with a maximum sentence of 2.5 years and fines not exceeding $10000 If you are told you are on Private Property and asked to leave, leave. Do not trespass further and become confrontational and abusive, and start an altercation with the property owners when they inform you again, and instruct you to leave.

Zir Alert A lot of people do ‘trespass’ without fear. Especially in cities. In some wooded area, you might be lost (& nervous), but the owner has an obligation to see to it that harm is minimized for anyone coming onto their property. Liens are placed on properties all the time for that very reason. Unless an owner of a property is up to no good, I can’t think of any particular reason that a sane landlord wouldn’t simply point the misguided persons to the correct tracts for access/egress, since without fencing, you’ve got no outlines. (Very few homeowners buy all of the woods & encroachments, unless there’s a neighborhood clause in the mortgage.)

I've read through possibly 7 or so articles and what I've realized was there was no evidence of anything. People think the white people intervening are strangers, but those were Booker's friends. So it wasn't even him against those 4 white people, those bystanders all came with Booker to the private property. But what really stands out is that blm had recently kicked him out because they believed he was using them for his own gains, including political aspirations. Oh yea and a GoFundMe has raised tens of thousands of dollars for him.

He did not know all the witnesses. The ER doctor called LEO back to the hospital based on the injury's consistency to assault. I found no proof of your claims. He showed up with 5 people, crossed on to Private Property, were met and asked to leave while being informed it was private property by an individual on a quad, ignored the request and pressed further onto the property until you met a group of people who informed you again that you were on Private Property and asked you to leave; following which you became confrontational, stepping away from your group and approaching the people on the property. That ended in an altercation in which he were restrained against a tree, at which time one of the companions began filming, and there was an argument between the two groups that led to one of the people from the other group slapping a phone out of his friends hand, which he picked up almost immediately while moving to stand behind him and film. Their were 5 or 6 total cameras recording on his side, among his group, and not one of them captured any video that confirms his accusations. He has a history of causing altercations and becoming confrontational, which has resulted in him being banned from several businesses in his area, and he is considered a vocal and confrontational activist by people in his community. Beyond that, he is known to have political aspirations. Criminal Trespass is a Level 6 Felony Offense in the State of Indiana, with a maximum sentence of 2.5 years and fines not exceeding $10000 If you are told you are on Private Property and asked to leave, leave. Do not trespass further and become confrontational and abusive, and start an altercation with the property owners when they inform you again, and instruct you to leave.

That's not a stereotype. That's real. My family thought it was crazy when I went on a school field trip with the white kids in the woods. That would not have helped. I’ve seen in other video where Black men are licensed to carry were arrested for trying to protect themselves. One man was killed by police after he was stopped for traffic violation. Cop asked for ID and asked if he had a weapon, he answered yes it’s in my glove compartment, when the cop asked him to take it out, cop shot and killed the man. Stand your ground also doesn’t apply to Black ppl, a woman who had a “stay away order” against her abusive partner, was arrested for murder when the man came to her house and tried to break in. She had a gun permit to protect herself but wound up in jail for protecting herself. Those laws only apply to us white ppl.

I’m glad the FBI is involved. This is horrible... I don’t know why people do these things☹️

Looking in from outside this US, it's astounding and sickening to think this occurs at all, let alone goes without formal action.

First of all, it says he's Affordable Housing Commissioners, big difference from Human Rights. Now everybody sees who's the Aggressive white men faces plus video recordings, why they NOT ARRESTED?!!

It's very sad that the police nor FBI has done anything to give this young man justice. I pray the people responsible for this gross injustice be locked up like now.

A hate crime in the middle of a million hate crimes

Who knows how many people these psychos have already killed. This guy was lucky. I can imagine how scarred he was.i was just watching the 1970s film deliverance where there's a scene similar to this. No arrests of anyone is just insane. The rest of the civilised world is watching America.

As a white woman, let me tell the world one lesson ive learned: never apologize to a white man when you aren't in the wrong. It emboldens them rather than de-escalates them. I'm not suggesting go toe to toe, but avoid taking a one-down position. I'm not criticizing this man. He has my utmost support. I'm just passing my experience as people may be wondering what they can or should do if something happens to them. I use questions to put the ball in their court. 'I'm on private property? I didn't know that. Whose land is this? Where is the forest service boundary? Why isn't it marked?' I dont know if this would help once evil people are drunk, but it helps a lot in a lot of situations. It makes the aggressors do all the thinking. It makes them walk away grumbling instead of arguing my points.

@Zir Alert i should rephrase this because a white man might read It? Are all white men so fragile they can't let one slide for the cause of empathy in this really intense case?

Then who is to say who attacked who if you shot all of them as they kept coming at you would you be charged for murder

He’s the Human Rights commissioner. This attack might of been deliberate.

I really don't think those meathead thugs knew or cared about what Vaughxx' job was, and I don't think they'd understand it if they were told. Vaughxx says that even the policeman continued to lecture him about property rights even after it was clearly stated that no trespassing had occurred and that Vaughxx was actually an expert in local property laws. The attack was definitely deliberate based on Vaughxx' skin color and even the police offered basically no support. The level of ignorance in this situation was extreme.

daft wod i think there's more to the story also, he seems disingenuous . no sound from video in woods. i think it's a setup of some sort and he trespassed on private property , cameraman at the ready. he was prob told it was private property and said screw you im cutting through to get to my campsite . campsite was public but if he cut through private land and got combative. and the someone bring me a noose statement , sure in broad daylight and on film we're gonna hang someone?.. smells funny
