What would’ve happened if Eren had survived the end of attack on titan? If Mikasa didn’t kill him it’s guaranteed titan powers never would’ve disappeared and the rumbling would’ve been 100% completed. This alternate reality could’ve been the real ending if one decision went the other way and today we’re gonna recap the full alternate timeline!

Flashing forward one year, a ton of things would change on the island, in the time since the rumbling was completed. For a start Premier Smith would finally take control of the military, as Paradis tries to deal with the influx of refugees. From his point of view, the arrival of eldians from across the sea would have the potential to be a good thing, especially when it comes to the Tybur family. Because the Tybur’s have such extensive knowledge of the modern world, in theory the island can keep evolving for generations even without Hizuru’s help. The problem is that with Willy being locked up, so far the family would refuse to offer any kind of help - but negotiations with the government would still be underway. Meanwhile for the other foreign eldians they’d be having a pretty terrible time, as the majority would be victims of racism. Realistically, many natives on the island would associate the actions of Marley’s government, with the foreigners who came from across the sea. That connection would 100% lead to violence against them and overall life wouldn’t be much better than the internment zones. Now you might be thinking that these divisions are something that can heal over time and ordinarily that would be true, however, for Erwin there would be one big concern. Although the public wouldn’t know it, one year ago the female and armoured titans were killed without passing down their abilities. Following that their powers were inherited by two eldian babies, who’d currently be somewhere on the island. If either of those kids belong to the refugees, then the division between native and non-native eldians, could lead to a titan civil war on Paradis. That’s why his main priority would be to fix this divide, find those two kids and also find Eren. For the past 11 months the Founder would be missing, having abandoned society shortly after the rumbling. Even though he wanted to do it, the guilt from killing billions of people and getting Mikasa dragged into it, it’d weigh heavily on his mind. To make things worse most of the population would worship him like a God and there wouldn’t be a single place he could go, without people glorifying what he did. Within weeks of arriving home all of these factors would cause Eren to have a mental break and in a moment of madness he’d cut himself off from the world. Since that day he’d escape to the mountains in the north of Paradis, where he’d live a silent and isolated life, waiting for for the curse of Ymir to take him. That said, on November 3rd in the year 857 the Attack Titan would secretly make his first journey back to Shiganshina. The significance of this date is that it would be Armin’s birthday, in particular the final birthday that Eren would be alive to see. For that reason he’d make the incredibly long journey to their hometown, where his best friends would be buried under the tree on the hill. By chance Historia would also happen to be there that day to pay her respects, and for her, seeing Eren would be like seeing a ghost. By this point the military had been searching for over two years. That’s why him being here would feel like he’s come back from the dead, and by giving him a hug, Eren would suddenly experience her memories since the day he disappeared. From this he’d learn how worried Historia has been, how hard his friends searched for him and he’d feel the suffering of the people he brought to the island. Even though Eren would believe he’s a worthless person, to know how much his friends care would give him a rare reason to smile. Following this the two would have a long conversation, where Historia pretty much begs for him to return to society. From her point of view, because Eren is worshipped by nearly all native eldians, he could be the one to end the violence, between the locals and the refugees. At first he wouldn’t like this idea cause his self esteem would be so low by this point, that he wouldn’t feel as if his words could make a difference to peoples hatred. Regardless Historia would refuse to give up on this, and in the year 858 the final year of Eren’s life, he’d make a return to the public eye.

I can’t wait for a "What if Erwin and Armin both survived?" Like, Armin gets the Colossal Titan, and Erwin gets the Armored Titan. Basically, the Scouts manage to prevent Zeke and Pieck from taking Reiner back.

@@kokichistextingstory374 I've never heard in any official source that you need the full injection to transform into a Titan. Rod proved that only a little bit is enough, even if it was a strange way.

Only thing i notice that isnt touched on is if Eren wasnt the last holder of the attack titan, then he would see the memories of the future holders, including the resistance members that had it and the eventual outcome of his rumbling plans. Would he be ok with this? I wonder how it would have affected his actions.

Good question! I think that: 1) When Eren died he had to choose between two bad options. If he gave his power to the military, then it would contradict the messages of peace/freedom that he’d been preaching. Allowing the government to have all 9 titans would restrict freedom of the population (eg. people would become too afraid to protest or question the all-powerful govt etc) and it’d probably be seen as an insult by eldians from across the sea 2) I think he’d see vague future memories of the resistance (sort of like how Krueger saw vague future memories of Armin & Mikasa). It wouldn’t be anything concrete. He definetly wouldn’t know about Henry Tybur’s plans 150 years later So overall my thought is that he picked an option that was risky but one that aligned more with his values. I think he’d believe that peace would be more achievable down the road this way. Ps. Also the function of the attack titan is to “resist” power and that might’ve played into his mindset a bit

@@TurtleQuirk wait, so if the royal family is completely wiped off, how does it affect ymir's connection to the eldians? Is it a free for all between everyone? What are even the goals of the tyburs? if it was only to regain control of the titans i feel they'd "cause an accident" for mia as the warhammer to keep it undercover in the family. Do they mean to take ALL of them? Unless they just want to watch the world burn it wouldn't truelly help with power/wealth and they could easily manipulate their way to cozy positions of power and reputation just like og tyburs. Sorry for nitpicking😅 this was a good story all the way through P.s gotta love how Erwin's the "die a hero or live long enough to become the villain" and the trade off for long lasting peace (kinda) is the lives and happiness of loved characters, cant have it all after all. Overall great story. Also mia is obviously gabi's decendant but i wonder if she's related to falco too

@@arielkandlithanks for the kind words! To answer some of these, yes Mia is the descendant of Gabi and Falco. I’ve not seen anyone notice this yet but her name (Mia) is the alias that Falco gave to Gabi when they first met Sasha’s family The Tybur’s goal is for their bloodline to have full control over this civilisation, I guess a real life comparison would be something like 🇸🇦. They don’t want the world to burn they just want to be the absolute power About the royal family… I’m not sure when/if I will continue this storyline but there is an idea there. They’re not *all* over just yet, Henry made sure of that

It would be cool if you include them and show how eventually the power of Attack Titan again falls to a person who looks like Eren and has a dream of Titans coming back. Plz bro Plz do it. I've always had a what if idea of "What if Paradis chose the 50 year plan" instead, and that we saw the future generations of the island, this basically scratched that itch, cold work bro!
it kind of feels like a continuation of the What IF Erwin Survived series which I really loved. I'm personally very fond of what if scenarios and I especially love the ones you make about AoT. Keep up the good content!

Omg, that’s really cool. Just one thing that I want to point out is that even 100 years after the rumbling, the technology of the world would be VERY behind modern day technology. With the destruction of most of the world’s population, technological progress would definitely come to a halt

It's great to see this amazing project finally summed up. The one thing that doesn't work (that I've noticed) is that to stay in control of the Founder and lead the rumbling to Marley, Eren would need to stay in contact with a titan of royal blood, so he would have needed to capture Historia and bring her with him like he did with Zeke in the canon timeline, so she wouldn't be able to stay on the island and use her titan like in this scenario.

@@EyeAndBrawl It would actually make sense if Paradise experimented on the titans to make them much stronger or multiply them even more. Or they might discover that some ancient Eldians tried to divide Ymir's power and hid the resulting new titans in other very faraway parts of the planet.

This was incredible written and a prefect what if!! Nice job. I do have two questions for two holes within it tho. One being even going back in time to motivate his father and two doesn’t the founder and a royal blood titan have to be touching constantly in order for the power to work? Besides those holes the story is perfect! Unless I missed something

4:41 Alliances with the middle east would be relatively impossible, as we see in the episode with Falco in the trench, the person from the middle east that falco is trying to save tells him to "Get off, he might curse him" or something along those lines, so I doubt they'd tolerate the eldian empire.

If we had titans at our current time, I doubt they'd be a big of a problem. If they managed to become an extremely large amount THEN it'd be a big problem but wiping them out would probably be an easier task I suppose

I think I found 1 plot hole in your story. In the original timeline we see that Zeke stays in contact with eren for the whole rumbling but here we see historia not being in contact with eren. I could be missing some details which you might have explained but I thought on specifying it

That was really really good!!!. They should turn that into a manga and an anime series. Like you said AOT The next generation. I think that somehow the new titan shifters should have powers equalling modern militaries. Such as psychic powers over army's and military leaders.
