It's probably because it sounds kinda different from the others but as more episodes go by, fans had realized that it actually matches the tone of the story. The explosions, haunting choir voices, chants, it gives off a apocalyptic vibe that matches the apocalyptic final season.

I feel like this version of the song is literally amongst my 10 all time favourite songs. No joke... I love it... I gotta listen to more of his covers.
