It feels like Eren is talking abt the literal freedom but deeply it's mikasa's voice abt her freedom❤ 😭

@@flawedzak I loved the ending because it was the most realistic ending this series could have. Eren did not set out to save humanity; he only wanted to ensure his friends lived the rest of their lives in peace. And by becoming an enemy to all of humanity only for his friends to kill him, they became international heroes. So, Eren technically accomplished his goal. And for the cycle of violence to continue long after they're dead and gone is a big downer for sure, but that's humanity in a nutshell. We are doomed to repeat the cycle of violence because we refuse to learn from our past mistakes. *_If_* you were expecting a happier ending, than that's technically your fault. Because _AoT_ has NEVER been a "feel-good" story.

@@cjkalandek996 the ending was not realistic whatsoever and it didn't make any sense for eren's character. eren's goals to begin with was not *just* to "ensure his friends lived the rest of their lives in peace" it was to permanently ensure the safety of not just his friends but the island as well. to end the titan curse and to break the cycle of revenge from the outside world. these are were his 3 main goals. Eren in the end choosing to trust his friends make no sense, back in the female titan arc eren chose to trust the levi squad which got them killed compare that to him in the cave where he chose to trust himself which in the end saved everybody. even in the timeskip he chose to keep his friends in the dark because he knew that non of them could give him an alternative that would guarantee the island's safety. even after the rumbling the alliance had no idea on how to establish peace. in the end he stupidly chose to trust them which got everyone on the island killed. in the end eren's character was retconned and changed by isayama for some reason. and about me excepting a happy feel good ending. No, anyone who understood aot and with two functional brain cells would know happy ending would make no sense for aot with the direction the story was headed. All things considered the shitty ending we got was still a fairly happy ending compared to what would make sense for the story, No one in the alliance died, the warriors parents lived and Annie who wasn't deserving of a happy ending got see her father.
