Becauze Zeke did not inherit the Founding Titan...he is not so tainted with the vow If you remember in episode 7 of the 3rd season when Historia was taking to Rod He said that he and his brothers were trying and asking their father to use the founder's power But when his brother got it he saw the change in his eyes... and then Frida he saw also the change in her eyes that made her not wanting to do anything or to use her power So Rod knew the the change( the vow) happen when you inherit the founder not before so he did not want to inherit it him self

@@GummyCalico lol it’s ok I think it’s originally what Isayama (the writer) was trying to do, Eren’s character became somehow hard to read for some people that’s why you see people still attacking him when everything in the show tells you what he truly is, to me I believe he tried to stop Zeke for the sake of Falco and the people at the same time because (to him) there’s no need to turn them since they only want to connect physically

Now imagine us manga readers had to wait a whole month to know what happened after Eren lost his head ( yes the chapter ended at that moment )

Spoiler alert . . . . . Eren wanted Zeke to have a back up plan because the back up plan was the reason he got to Grisha. It was the plan all along. the entire story was written by Eren.

@@ThatSamoanGuy indeed, just like Truman wife crossing her finger during their wedding vow in an old movie "The Truman Show". Even though it seem unnecessary for others, but it did feel like a necessary gesture to the liar who is still being truthful to oneself.

Zeke is very intelligent. The moment Eren didn't catch the baseball, he knew something was up. Because that symbolized them being on the same page. And so, Zeke wanted to believe Eren was on the same page as him, but in the back of his mind, he had doubts. And I like that he didn't have blind faith in Eren but approached the situation cautiously. He loves his brother so much that he's not even mad that he betrayed him. He still wants to help him out. Jaw Titans love sacrificing themselves for Reiner. Zeke with the catch of the year. R.I.P. Colt and Porco. You were both amazing brothers. Also, fun fact, some of the snippets of images before Eren got into the paths were actually cameos from volume extras in the manga. AKA GothKasa and Nerd Armin. Along with one image being the AOT men in a sauna. So that's nice.

Reiners scream of absolute horror and shock when Falco’s titan was coming after him was heartbreaking along with him screaming out for Porco as he sacrificed himself

Zeke's Titans are linked to him but he doesn't have perfect control. He can still tell them what to do, but sometimes they don't perfectly follow his orders

They have a sort of primal urge to act like a dumb titan but there is some level of override they can do if they are abnormal naturally or if Zeke is commanding one of his own. Zeke doesn't posses the Founding Titan, so he was never affected by the Vow Renouncing War (that gets inherited alongside the Founder). However... he did manage to reach the Paths were Ymir stands by "hacking" the access to it alongside Eren via somekind of "loophole". Once there, he is basically someone of royal blood (who can command Ymir to do his biding), not affected by the vow (so he can actually command her). So Zeke could easily just tell her to break the vow while he was waiting for Eren to wake up, simple as that. The thing that no one knew was the Founder's amazing and all powerful abilities can be basically summarized with: "You get to go to Paths to order Ymir to do anything you want to those linked to the coordinate" (all the eldians)... the Vow Renouncing war didn't allow the other Royal Founders to use those ways (and not even KNOW about them!) Notice that as far as we know, breaking the vow doesn't have any inmediate effect (since it wasn't affecting Zeke, and he is already in Paths free to command Ymir)... but it would mean that if someone of royal blood were to inherit the Founder next, they wouldn't be bound anymore by the vow. As far as we know, there are 3 people of royal blood left: Zeke, Historia, and Historia's unborn baby.

I always interpreted Zeke not being affected by the vow was moreso because his ancestors didn't go to the walls, therefor he wasn't affected by that vow. Both can be true obviously, but that was my interpretation.

I love how all jaw titans shifters, these titans that have wild power in their claws and teeth, they died willing to save someone else. Marcel died saving Reiner, Ymir gave himself up so that Berthold and Reiner could finally return to his hometown and Porco died to return Falco to his human form (and save Reiner). These three died for the others (and in these three cases, Reiner was directly or indirectly saved xDD). Now the question is, will Falco die trying to save someone? can it be gabi? Its just one thing that only time will tell.

In the age of the guillotine when France was chopping off heads left and right, there were numerous, and I mean numerous reports of heads doing weird things for a good few seconds after they were cut off. From blinking to blushing, to looking at people. They estimate anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds, there is brain activity of a limited fashion.

Fun fact: If you go back to the first episode of this season, you can hear falco saying something like "I remember flying" and "I remember holding swords while flying". Now that he is the jaw titan, he might've been aremembering the memories of Ymir (freckles) since she was using the ODM gear.

It was Colt's 'anti-titan rifle' that Gabi used. She also asked Colt what he was carrying in the previous episode. Great reaction as always.

@@yasuhoismine1508 There are plotholes and things that got retconed, like in the beginning there was no lightning when Boruto and Reiner transformed to destroy gates. But The Paths are actually a very clever concept. Basically everything can be related to "The Paths" and you can just roll with it lol. Biggest plot hole IMO is !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!MANGA SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When Eren sent Dina titan for his mother instead of Burrito. Back in Liberio he accused Reiner of being responsible for his mother´s death but in reality he´s already saw everything. Like he said. Present, past, future... it all happens at once. So that was just a dickmove to make Reiner feeling bad.

I love how even after everything that has happened, Zeke still cares about saving Eren first.

In Zeke’s defense he has to make a quick decision to turn everyone into Titans. Colt asks him to wait. But Reiner is right in front of him about to eat Eren. So there wasn’t enough time to let Falco het away.

Not a spoiler. Zeke didn't break the vow renouncing war. He never had the vow renouncing war because he has the Beast and not the Founding. Eren didn't have the vow renouncing war because he couldn't use the Founding Titan because he was not noble. Together the Eren brothers broke the Vow Renouncing War.

Grisha didn't even HAVE the Founding titan when he cured the plague. He only had the Attack titan at that time.

I think Isayama is kind of showing us how Zeke is skilled in baseball from that catching Eren's head scene, unlike Eren who missed the catch. I wonder if the roles are changed Eren wouldn't have caught Zeke's head 😅

Fun fact, in the manga the chapter (119) ended with Gabi's shot, the final panel is Eren's head flying, we had to wait a entire month to get the next chapter to see what happened. Anime made a great adaptation, but I really wished they had that scene in the end of the episode, it would be the most insane "...to be continued" in the show

Most reactors get annoyed when you tell them things like 'the next episode is awesome!' and tell the audience to not do thay anymore. That, to me, is really annoying, people watching is excited too and it doesn't make sense to me how saying that could ruin the experience, this anime is awesome and it will have awesome episodes. When Ange said they are not bothered by that kind of comments, it really reinforced the thought I've had since episode 1... You truly are the best reaction channel. No overreacting, no rushed opinions of characters and giving them the benefit of the doubt, no passive-agressive comments about people who comment over things that you've said. Here's an interesting fact about the human body. When someone's head is chopped off, his head is still alive (conscious) for a few seconds until all the blood that is left in the brain is gone. So technically, when Zeke grabbed Eren's head, he was still "alive". Damn, all those time of baseball really payed off lol Edit: Also, just in case it is confusing. Right now, the time is frozen. If for some reason, they leave the paths (realm), Eren probably dies after a few seconds. So Eren is stuck there. We don't know if Ymir would re-build Eren like he did with Zeke because Eren doesn't have royal blood. So how da fuq will he survive then? 👀👀

I started watching your channel on Saturday, and in 2 days I binged every single one of your aot reactions lol. I've subscribed, can't wait for the upcoming episode reactions!

Just wanted to say I love your guys' reactions and it's been amazing to see just how much you've gotten into this show. One thing I wanted to bring to your attention is the beautiful way they started the show off making you think that these mindless, terrifying, human-eating creatures were going to be the main source of fear and tension. Only to turn things around so much so that you're not even worried about any of your favorite characters dying to a mindless titan. The tension and fear are now much much stronger and deeper. Now it comes from things like, "What's his or her true agenda?" "Who's right and who's wrong?", stuff like that. It's so beautifully done. I remember watching another person react to season 4 and they said something that I was strongly feeling but didn't know it wasn't just me. A detail I love is that even Eren tries to stop Zeke from screaming. No one wanted him to activate the Titans.

It is believed that you are still conscious a few seconds after decapitation, that's why they used to hold the head up to the crowd so the last thing you saw was the celebration of your death. So Eren not dying because he made contact with Zeke before actually dying makes sense, especially with the power of the Titans.

Quick head up (hehe .. heads up ) in the manga the chapter ends when Gabi decapitates Eren. So back then people had to wait a whole month to see whether Eren has died or not. Also about Gabi and the Anti Titan Rifle. Colt had it with him the entire time, so when he got burned to death, his rifle was near Gabi.

What an interesting coincidence that all three consecutive Jaw Titan holders have somehow saved Reiner's life (Marcel pushed him away when Ymir attacked, Ymir willingly gave herself up to Marley so Reiner&Bert wouldn't suffer the consequences, Porco in this episode). All while Reiner doesn't really want to live anymore, he even - in a way - gave up on himself already when he was 12 ("Reiner is dead. If we need Marcel, I will be Marcel" - btw Porco saw how Reiner behaved in Ymir's memories and chided him for imitating his brother. Marcel probably was a foundation upon which Reiner built his "soldier" personality on). Someone in the yt comments (or maybe somewhere else, I don't remember) pointed out how Porco did what Marley wanted of him his whole life, but this one time he actually does something out of free will he has Wings of Freedom uniform on.

Some might think it's silly for Colt to hang onto Falco as he's turning into a titan, but for Colt this was his promise that he wouldn't leave his brother ever again. He was trying to protect Falco during the war at Fort Slava and you could see how much it hurt Colt when he didn't catch Falco as he left with Gabi on the airship. Now he's found him again and he's gonna stick to his promise. 😭 RIP Porco. Went out like an absolute chad. Fun fact: technically you are still alive after a beheading, though obviously not for long. I think there's a historical example of a women scowling at a crowd after a public beheading. Crazy stuff.

Colt was carring a huge rifle during all this time, you can see it almost in every scene he appears. After he was killed, Gabi took this gun from him. Zeke is not affected by the vow of renuncing because he isn't the Founding Titan, he is the one using Eren.

I mean Zeke pretty much explains it guys .. there is no vow of renouncing war bound to him cause he didn’t get there with the founding titan already inherited(meaning he’s not under the influenece from King Fritz who locked the founding titans full power with the vow of renouncing war) he got there through Eren(and Eren has the founder within him) so Zeke is free in the titan relm.. and Ymir listens only to those with royal blood cause she’s a slave to that bloodline so he can do anything he wants with her. The vow of renouncing war is in the founding titan.. not the royal bloodilne and only when the founding titan is inside a person who has royal blood can the vow of renouncing war be activated.

Then why chains when the vow wouldn’t work on him? The whole thing we see with him is because he is royal. So that has nothing to do with Eren having the founder

@@Wlof25 Dude the chains were fake, did you even watch the episode ? That was only there to test Eren, make him think he's in control and see if he's really on Zeke's side with the Euthanasia plan.

@@Wlof25I see if i continue this with you i'll be here all day .. sorry but i don't think this show is for you you should watch something else where everything is literally spelled out for you so you understand the story better but i will say this .. Zeke wants to test Eren cause unlike Eren he really cares about his brother(as that wasn't clear enough) and wants him by his side when he ''saves the world'' with the Euthanasia plan.. ofc a lot of this has to do with Zeke's father Grisha as well and his resentment for him but i'm not gonna write you a whole book here. Everything and i mean everything is in the show and makes sense it's all in there. As for the chain... lol if you can't get that from the episode where he literally stands up and reveals that the chins are fake by breaking them than i'm sorry but i can't help you anymore xD

@@JohnnyBoy7267 (a) Where does Zeke say that chains are fake? He didn’t say that chains are fake. He said that he learned a lot and that he has the royal blood with wich he wills stuff. You are just assuming things. (b) Chains were redundant. He could have tested Eren without chains. (c) if he knew that Yimir would listen to him and not Eren then why didn’t he make his wish already? He dedicated his while life to it. (d) if he knew that Yimir wouldn’t obey Eren then what was the point of the talk that Zeke must find someone he trusts? Your points make no sense beca you are assuming things without evidence and there are holes in logic and inconsistencies in the show.
