to be fair they didnt know what the target was until idk how long before, definitely AF1 should have gotten lock warning or something and then deployed countermeasures before getting hit as for escorts, af1 was already goner, now they were saving themselves from potential missile that didnt get lock warned? idk

my assumption is that they didn't get notice of the incoming in time to deploy the countermeasures (which I believe are BEHIND AF1, anyway) nor get a F18 to sacrifice itself (based off their positioning, I don't see how one could have maneuvered BELOW AF1). and even if a F18 DID do so, I am just as certain that the explosion from the F18 would have also taken down AF1.

plus ... you can see at 5:53 that one of the F18's was deploying countermeasures ... which tells me that they (nor AF1) didn't have radar on the incoming missile.

@dhinton1 I think when the missile targeting and locked the target, either f18 or af1 should have missile warning right? Just like movie air force one when the president ask f15 to shoot a missile beside the af1, the cockpit has missile warning.

The only realistic thing about this movie is the guy pausing at the bottom of the stairs trying to get oriented after suffering a concussion.

And both have 1 agent going 1 man army against the entire terror group. Both also have Black Hawk carrying a special operations team launching an incursion into the White House, where in both movies the helicopters were shot down. Lol!

The last helicopter definitely survived the attack there was no explosion and it was a pretty soft landing The only explosion was the back of the helicopter form the missile and that didn’t kill anyone pretty sure and the soldiers repelled could’ve jumped onto the grass or wherever it landed so there would’ve been someone alive

1997 Air Force one best one, this movie was horrible and worse then Olympus Has Fallen, now that one was good.
