Atrial Fibrillation vs Atrial Flutter - ECG (EKG) Interpretation - MEDZCOOL
The difference between atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter originates from the source atrial depolarization and subsequent pattern of ventricular conduction.

This may just be the most beautiful ECG video/explanation I've ever seen!

Sounds effects are oddly satisfying
Wow what a brilliant and elegantly done video. 10/10 sound effects, animations, and educational content.
Where have you been all my goddamn life? Studying for Step 3 here
Don't usually leave comments but excellent video. Was having trouble with Afib and AFL, helped a lot
I understand the difference between Atrial fibrillation and Atrial flutter within 1 min.. Thank you so much....👍💐💐 Keep it up
These animation videos heard with earphones is much more satisfactory♥️keep going
that was so entertaining, couldnt stop repeating the video, the more you watch, the more satisfied you get
@stephanie somer is right about the regularity...but video explained a typical case very well. Would love to recommend this channel to all my friends. Kudos to the editing..The sounds animations everything is fantabulous. Please post more videos like this.
Love the effects. And so straight forward.
Watching an EKG video and I get a burger king ad before it starts. Probably why most of us are watching this in the first place 😂😂
The best and simplest and clearest short ecg video to me
This was absolutely perfect in every way.
The sound effects are so engaging. Well-made video! Many thanks
This was most helpful. Never be taught this in such a clear manner, this was always confusing.
Best thing I have ever seen thank you so much
I came here for the resource from a course I am designing, and that sound is oddly satisfying.
I love this format!
wonderfully presented. thanks
Awesome! Such a great job!!
Brilliant video, thanks for such a good compare-contrast
Thank you so much! This was great!
This for me looks like a very impressive video editing project.. It is very satisfying, smooth and simple. Though my attention was mostly on the edit instead of the info, i still caught the difference between the two arrhythmias.
What a beautiful explanation with only visuals and sound effects. I would watch it for satisfaction rather than to learn 😂
I LOVE YOUR VIDEO!!!!!
What a creative video wow!!
awesome editing
you are really creative!! wow
wow, most beautiful thing i saw
this is really good👌
A good ca make learning fun. .....My man nailed it.....
wow satisfying presentation. it was entertaining too. thank you so much!!
Superb n so simple n to the point
AMAZING THANK YOU
epic explanation. Thank you for making it so enjoyable!

Got to take some time in btw my questions to say thanks for this amazzzing video
Very very very nice and helpful vedio , the design and the idea were fantastic 😍 Go ahead , help us by more like this vedio
Marvellous.
i love it! Thx!
Yessss. Thank you! I use all your vids to help prepare my new tele techs prior to the class I teach. I also recommend you to new RN grads who want to perfect their rhythm interpretation. I always tell my peeps-The atria sets the pace-With atrial flutter the atria are pro-fusing better, so the ventricles can better regulate their response- so it’s usually regular. But-not always. You can have a irregular(variable ventricular response) rhythm with flutter as well. Is it a 4/1, 3/1, 2/1 block- is the ventricular rate regular, if not-please state that it’s irregular. Is the atrial rate regular? You should be able to state the atrial rate if you can count it-if you can’t count it... the rule I tell my students-If you feel like you wanna call it flutter but you can’t define and count count every flutter/pseudo p-wave-just call it course afib... 🤗

Stephanie, I love that you mentioned the potential of variability in atrial flutter because it's often a point that confuses many of my students. I had mentioned this very briefly in the video I made for atrial flutter (kzread.info/dash/bejne/pZihs7WImqudiKg.html), but I love your suggestion of explicitly stating the pattern of QRS conduction, (4:1, 3:1, 2:1, etc) along with stating if the rhythm is regular or not. I guess this video was meant to be super brief covering the more classic findings in each arrhythmia, which is a question I definitely get more often versus questions regarding atrial flutter with variable blocks. Finally, your last point on course afib is golden!
MaShaAllah MaShaAllah Very Good work.Really , it hepled a lot.Understood the concept of Atrial flutter and Atrial fibrillation efficiently.
Excellent... Excellent Thank you sir
Thank you. ✌
excellent!
Wow beautiful
The graphics are attractive and strongly explanatory. Matt Roberts had a feature sweeping, building comment. Matt Roberts made a template, a plan.
Good presentation
Thank you so much ❤️
Who is editor ? He deserves special applaud
this is very pretty. i never though i'd say that to an ecg lecture HAHAH
thank you brother
I’m in love ❤
Atrial flutter is usually with an atrial rate of close to 300, and conduction of a division of 300. Rate of 300=1:1 conduction, rate of 150= 2:1 conduction, rate of 100= 3;1 conduction, rate of 75=4:1 conduction, etc. Atrial rate is usually quite regular, but there may be varying ventricular conduction, either as a function of AV node, or a pacemaker slipping in a beat if ventricular response is too slow for pacer limits. Slowing the paper speed may allow flutter waves to be seen that are obscured by normal speed.
Wow!
Good video. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
THANKS

So goood
Awesome super cool 😎
Impressive
U are damn genius!,!,
U rock !
❣
god bless you :')
I’m here cause the Apple Watch told me I was in afib. I also had gotten highly anxious however, but will be monitoring this in next couple days. I think it did not read proper all other readings were normal but a couple.

Those watches are junk...smh
Clear as mud
And what if it looks like it's randomly bouncing back and forth between the two?
Is the atrial flutter always regular? Thank You for this amazing and professional video!!

No! It depends on the degree of AV block and if it is fixed or variable. For example, aflutter with a fixed 2:1 AV block will appear regular. But if there is variability the types of blocks, as in the case of aflutter with a 2:1 to 4:1 block, then the R-R intervals will appear irregular, because the amount of p-waves between each QRS complex will vary over time.
Which lead is best for viewing atrial flutter
JHEEZE
I love you.
You know it would be great to actually be able to find a youtube video with no talking, no wacky noises, JUST the SOUND of A.fib. for Pete's sake! >:(
