They're so lucky they have Porter... Really picked up the full time screaming mantle well. Their new album is definitely a step in the right direction. People were acting like if Alex stuck around they were going to put out another Curse or Death Grip. They honestly sound better live now than they possibly ever have.

@@tanyahuyton598 I've followed them from the beginning. I was the first person in the UK to hear them. Dan's Mum is a old friend of mine and sent me two tracks from Fractures... the day it was recorded. Loved them ever since.

They are amazing me and my friend saw them open for bullet in march this year in Liverpool and when they said they was going to do a tour here we jumped on this as soon as the tickets came out and the meet and greet. It was a birthday present from my Friends. Honestly they put on the best performance and give their all and Brandon was unwell too not that he let's you see it. The one from March is also on videos if you want to take a look 🤘🔥

Atreyu's so insanely lame and corny nowadays without Alex. Sad to see. Feldman hasn't helped them, either. Huge Goldfinger fan back in the '90's, but he sucks as a producer.

Atreyu aren't as good I hope they realize this and either bring Alex back and Brandon can go back to drums or just have both guys front the band.

@@brandonkdrummer The last time I saw them was when I was a kid and they toured with 18 Visions and FATA. They were so much better back then than here. I liked Brandon on drums and backing vocals, but I don't need Will Sasso fronting the band -- it's corny.

@stuckintheinbetween you guys act like Atreyu is "lame" without Alex, but seem to forget that Atreyu's worst work so far came with him still in the band. LSPA (minus Doomsday and Becoming The Bull), is not a very good album. Congregation of the Damned has a few bangers, like Coffin Nails and Bleeding is a Luxury, but not their top work. And what can we say about In Our Wake. Truth is, what is lame is people like you and comments such as this. If you don't like the band now, no one is forcing you to stay or to keep liking them. You are not a true fan anyway.

@@jjuullmmeerr7711"You are not a true fan anyway." So you're not a "true fan" since you just criticized Atreyu's prior stuff? Good to know. I was a fan of Atreyu, I'm not anymore, so you're right. I started listening to Atreyu in 2002. I even spent a decent chunk of change on their Visions EP on Ebay back in the 2000's. I'll take anything with Alex over their stuff without him. That said, the only person to blame is John Feldman. There's a reason why neither of their two most popular albums to Atreyu fans (SN&BK, The Curse) were produced by Feldman. Feldman is awful when it comes to producing great albums. The only Feldman produced album that I legitimately loved was The Used - Self-Titled over 20 years ago. Since then, their music has been gone down the toilet with John Feldman at the helm. Has Feldman made The Used or Atreyu more popular or mainstream? No. That's how he produces albums. He's known for trying to create "hits." Emphasis on the word "trying." It isn't working for The Used and Atreyu. Additionally, I'm not opposed to bands changing their sound over years/decades, but it has to be good. For example, my pfp is from Hopesfall's last album Arbiter. That album's a lot different than one of their earlier releases The Satellite Years. The Satellite Years was one of my favorite post-hardcore albums as a kid. It's a lot heavier than anything they've done since then. But everything they've done since then has still been absolutely amazing. Same with a band like Thrice. It's been 20 years since they've made another album in the vein of The Illusion of Safety and The Artist in the Ambulance. Again, those are two of my favorite albums of my childhood. But Thrice is still amazing to this day, just different. You could say the same about Alexisonfire. Their self-titled album and Watch Out! were two of my favorites from the early 2000's. Their latest album, Otherness, is different to those, but still equally amazing. Atreyu, on the other hand, just feels like they're coasting by. Nothing lands for me. It feels like the music's just created to keep earning a paycheck and nothing more. It feels empty. Same with Feldman's work with The Used nowadays. Everything just feels empty. Nothing is memorable or even piques my interest. And yes, their work with Feldman felt that way when Alex was there. Alex even talked about this in an interview. He didn't like a lot of Atreyu's most recent work, and he didn't care for Feldman's input, and that's part of the reason he's glad to be gone. He was no longer creating music that he was passionate about, and that's how I have felt about them. Their music is as passionless as ever. It feels incredibly generic and by-the-numbers.

@@stuckintheinbetween I appreciate your opinion. My point was that you don't stop loving your favorite sports team when they have a bad year, or when your favorite player gets traded, retires, or leaves to free agency. So why do people do it with bands? Yeah I criticized some of their stuff. I don't expect to like every single album/song that an artist puts out. Relationships fail sometimes, guys come and go in practically every band. It's been 3 years, going on 4, I think it's time we all moved on. You might not like it and that is fine, but please stop forcing that opinion on others. Some of us still enjoy their music.
