You only need to read all 6 sides if you run it in a 5 color deck. Usually it’s just a 3 sided card

A well deserved break for the editor, and the crew behind the show. Plus, we got more Atraxa gameplay, so that's still a win!

I thought Specialize just read "Target ~this~ with a removal spell so you don't have to read ~this~".

There's this pleasing feeling when you see CGB say "Come back! We were playing the Magics!"

Hey CGB, as a 5 year veteran of commander, I love your Brawl content! Keep up the great work!

CGB says you have to win the game before it resolves, but one way to win without doing that is if your new commander is Kaya Intangible Slayer. Same mana value, and she comes down and exiles Atraxa while getting a 1/1 copy of her to block with, letting YOU get the ETB effect as well, which prevents Atraxa from running you over with value.

I've been playing this for the past few days, and OMFG, this is going to get sling-shot'd into the Hell queue VERY quickly. The power level of these 4 colors, plus the insane value Atraxa gives, is nearly impossible to come back from. Just WOW!

First opponent was a maniac. There's no other word.

Atraxa is a pretty fun build around, my atraxa deck is basically a combination of my yarok and yorion decks, with blinks, value and some cheap interaction. I still don't have momharmonicon, but atraxa is still pretty insane even when only one of those effects are on the field.

After a bunch of testing I'm not convinced Norn is even worthwhile. Atraxa generates empty value pretty quickly; drawing ten cards was funny but realistically drawing five should be enough to put you firmly ahead. The stax side might make it worthwhile but I definitely wouldn't play regular Panharmonicon so a more killable one isn't appealing.

I got Atraxa in one of my free 3 packs, I never even get decent Rares in those so I was psyched! And yeah, the versatility it allows in deck building is awesome cause you don’t need any specific combos or restraints. You just gotta be able to resolve it, so I went very blue mage with the counters and proactive interaction in my build 😂

@@archma9e_879 nice! I’m generally super disappointed by what I get in the rare slot in packs, so to pull literally the single mythic creature that I wanted the most out of this set made my day 😂. I had to craft Vraska tho, and when I get another mythic I’ll be crafting Nissa cause I didn’t get lucky enough for those.

Maybe Battles aren't already here... but Altar of the Goyf is a Tribal Artifact wich Atraxa can add to your hand as Tribal card. It's not broken, but drawing 8 with Ataraxa It's the dream.

Interestingly, "Tribal" is not listed as a type on Atraxa. But one would think it would still work as expected. Also, the Altar does have some synergy with Atraxa, since both are "types matter" cards.

@HurricaneGregor it's SOP not to list types that aren't in Standard on Standard cards. Printing future types is fine, like Tarmogoyf did with Planeswalkers. That was MaRo's take on it.

you cant get a battle, but you CAN get a tribal off of atraxa, so you should put altar of the goyf in this deck just. just for funsies.

I would have thought that Atraxa would have been shoved into hell queue immediately upon release, but here she is playing against fair commanders. Might have to build this if that's the case.

Thanks for the content man! just a suggestion: I really don't like live commander content, but I love Arena HB, and I just stumbled on this video because youtube suggested it; maybe you could keep all your gameplay content on the main channel instead of spreading it so much, there's already coolstuffinc and magic arena channels too, and your other secondary channel, it's getting hard to follow your content

I don't know, I have a pretty good win rate against it with my Kaya Intangible Slayer deck. Mainly because they slam atraxa, I slam Kaya then -3 to have my own atraxa. It's glorious

just so people dont fall into the same trap i did; if you discarding a lot of cards (unure of amount but > 3 i think) there is a new interface for discard but instead of choosing cards to discard, it is the opposite. Dont make my mistake and discard all your good cards and keep a bunch of lands.

Am I going crazy or are the cards on arena completely different from mtg cards, different cmc, that tasha had another ability, different loyalty counters, what’s going on here? And whose idea was that lol

I usually read the cards my opponent plays, but the specialise cards are just nonsense. I don’t read them, I never play them, I do not see them.

Hard disagree with this list. This is not an ultimatum deck. Takes up to much space for better control and consistency options. Not to mention the white splash making casting more prohibitive than ideal. Better good stuff should be run.
