    Good day Capt. How do you manually input waypoints during the arrival, especially on VFR flights?

  • @FlywithMagnar

    @FlywithMagnar

    Жыл бұрын

    This can be done in several ways. 1) Use exisiting waypoint in the FMS database. 2) Define a bearing and distance from a waypoint. Example: Bearing 124 degrees and 5 NM from ABC. Type: ABC/124/5 3) Enter latitude and longitude. Example: 61 degreres 45.7 minutes north, 012 degrees 52.8 minutes east. Type: N6145.7E01252.8

    Dear Captain, I follow your videos with interest and profit and they have helped me a lot to familiarize myself with the ATR published for MSFS. A question regarding the FMC: in the flightplan in the right column in correspondence with waypoint I find the writing WINDOW in the ALT column. What does this WINDOW entry represent? I don't think I've seen any information about it...if I missed it, I apologize. Thank you

  • @FlywithMagnar

    @FlywithMagnar

    Жыл бұрын

    WINDOW means the waypoint has a maximum and minimum crossing altitude, for example between 5,000 and 8,000 ft.

    Kindly explain how to Cross talk FMS if missing FMS1 or FMS2 captain

  • @FlywithMagnar

    @FlywithMagnar

    Жыл бұрын

    Cross-talk can only happen when both FMS are operating. Cross-talk means they are sharing information. If one FMS has failed, it cannot receive information.

    E = East. N = North. S = South. W = West. By highlighting those keys, it's a little easier to insert geographical coordinates.
