I started trading about six months ago, gotta say. Rayner is amongst the best

True to form, there is no 'given'. I use the ATR to set stop loss and take profit. However, just yesterday I was stopped out by less than 2pips even though I set it by using ATR and even added a cushion. But then the market turned and climbed like mad.

What I do is set the atr to 20 periods on the settings and then x2 the atr number and use that as my stop loss

I can recommend that you search the « Chandelier » approach as mentioned. To learn more about it seek the presentation by Charles Lebeau creator of the method. Good luck.

ATR is a very powerful indicator and i would say raynner is the master of automation i love the way he explains the indicators and they work very well

good video but i never understood why everyone insist of "hit thumbs up button" at the beginning of the video not at the end of it..

Excellent presentation to the point. I can suggest to consider ATR based on percentage instead of absolute value when considering the lowest ATR value. This is because if the value of the instrument varies in an important value the ATR will exhibit meaningless number because a 10$ price might have an ATR of 0.75$ and once the price reaches 25$ the ATR might be 1.88$. In absolute value there is a difference of 1.13$ that has completely different meaning. But in % both have a value au round 7.5% that shows a consistency in the volatility. Also it could be compared to other instruments with considerable difference in ATR in absolute value as for example a stock with a price in the 300$ range that can exhibits an ATR of 30 ! Food for thoughts. Keep the good work.

In spite of knowing that there is nothing exact in our forexing world but I have a request from all of your fans who are neither skilled and perhaps never can be!, but still they wish to be in this world. In some spare time, please start a video list series which straight goes by situation1, situation 2 ....., predict the coming at least 30 mintes, apply SL TP and put the order. I know there is a lot to cover but I believe that you can do it. You take my request or not, you are genius and well done from my heart.

2 weeks ive been trying to figure out how to se ATR all the other videos i have watched those things was very confusing for me i had no clue what they been talking about but you actually hit the point and made me realize how i can use it wow thank you so much! its just amazing how detailed you explain everything! i subbed and now going trough your videos and learning even more. ive been trading without any knowledge since 2019 and i have never used stop lose but somehow i actually managed things i came up with my own strategy and it worked for me but to combine stop lose to my strategy + ATR + fibonacci + AMT + Support and resistance this all together is the one that just makes my trading experience much easier and thank you for the info!

Thanks Rayner, it is a great powerful strategies for trader. Only you teach how to set up Stop Loss properly. You are genius. Some KZreadr teach to set up Stop Loss 8 pips only or % for whatever. Doesn't make sense. You are right. Stop Loss setting should be match the time frame, volume and the products. Do we have to chose the broker available Guarantee Stop Loss (GSL) and Balance protection?

Simple qt We have to see last candle on this weekly chart or last week’s full established candle?
