Since any increase in intracellular calcium starts a positive feedback loop of cell injury, does the body have any kind of safety mechanism to stop the cycle from running forever? How would the body stop a never ending injury cycle from any transient increase beyond the physiological range in intracellular calcium?

Dada, If the cell injury is transient then it will be reversible/ irreversible cell injury?
