I enjoyed this video, but your pricing seems to be way off. I'm seeing fully certificated Grade 1's selling from $2500 to over $8000. How many of those $800-1200 grade 1's do you have?

I'd love to own one of these. Mel is the sole reason I became navy diver certified back in 86 His story, trials and tribulations are the primary inspiration for me becoming a diver. Rest in peace, Mel. Sadly something like this isn't in the budget and likely never will be. Great video.

Great information. We were just recently in Marathon, and my wife purchased one of the Atocha coin necklaces for me. It did come with the mini cert., I wasn’t sure if the mini cert was good enough, or would it be beneficial to pay for the larger one? Thanks for the video.

You may want to read the certificate. If it says that silver from a silver bar found from the Atocha was used, it means the coin was "made" as a replica. It would NOT be considered a coin from the Atocha.

Can a coin be sent in for authentication? I was told one thing you cannot reproduce is the Exposure from the coin being in the ocean the ocean? Thanks.

@Floyd1504 Do YOU listen? That is not at all what he said. He said, “go ahead and mount your coin and wear it because it’s already been in the ocean for so long”.

I have a really nice 1622 Atocha coin, but no certificate, as it was gifted to me. What should I do, take it to a dealer to see if it is worth getting it graded and get a certificate?

From what I heard, if you don't have a certificate you cannot get issued a new one. You can certainly try! It's worth a shot.
