AtmosfearFX Setup

AtmosfearFX Halloween Garage Door Display
This video will show my AtmosfearFX setup for Halloween digital decorations.
The frosted shower curtain liner is superior for projecting the image clearly. The projector light is also not visible through the shower curtain. If you can't find a large enough shower curtain, the plastic painters tarp is a good backup and readily available in very large sizes. If you find this helpful, please like below!

    Thanks for doing this. I have been racking my brain trying different ways to remove the very visible projector light. Its no a problem when projecting to a window that i elevated, but floor level projections is awful. Going to get a frosted shower curtain today and give it a go.

    Wow it looks amazing with shower curtain liner. Foolish me, I ordered 20x10 ft custom bridal mesh to cover my garage right before I saw this. Oh well, will do this if that doesn’t work out!

    The shower curtain liner was much better. Personally, I purchased chiffon fabric from Joanne's Fabrics for $15. The advantage is that it doesn't require a frame at all, you just use push pins to hold it up in windows and doorways or fishing line to hang it between two uprights. In my case the uprights are a tree, and one of the posts from my carport. This year I'm doing phantasms in a front window, a conglomeration of effects that came with an atmosfx projector that I got for $26 on Amazon, the Boo Crew on a 3d form, singing pumpkins on real pumpkins, and Bone Chillers on a 3 yd piece of chiffon fabric. I think I have maxed out what I can do without it just being "too much of a good thing. "

    Hi Leo, have you compared a shower curtain to the chiffon fabric? I am about to get the frosted shower curtain, as I have just a white one. The frosted looks much better but I like the idea of the chiffon just being held up with push pins. I tried that with the shower curtain and it just started tearing it.

    Nancy Jones any shower curtain will work, I got the least expensive one I could find in the largest size available. Get whatever suits your build just be sure it is Frosted. You can also cut the curtain to size in windows as a projection material.

    oldies ty thank you for viewing and for your questions. I apologize i haven’t seen them sooner to help you with your setup. The screen measured 8’W x 6’H. You can zoom in on the video clips by running the files through any video editing software. I used a free one available online and it took some time to figure out how to use it but the end result is well worth the time invested!

    The projector is a $60 atmos one I got at a large hardware retailer. After the holidays are over you can get their leftover stock on sale for $40-$50. I find no need to spend a bunch of cash on a high quality projector, with a life sized ghoul popping out in a 6x8 screen the reactions are amazing. I had people standing in the driveway for 4-5 minutes watching the full loop of clips in awe!

    I want to do this with a garden arch way but its pretty close to the sidewalk wouldn't the shower curtain be to noticeable or is this better from far away, last year I did the window projections with sheer Walmart light gray curtains but not sure what to use outside. Also it's dark enough but not super dark in the area I want to use.

    Hi, how did you attach the shower curtain to the pvc frame? And what glue for pvc joints did you use so able to break apart for storage? Tysm

  • @tooncescat8040

    @tooncescat8040

    Жыл бұрын

    PVC glue is permanent so I only glued one side of each joint. I chose to glue the 90 elbows to the 2 horizontal top and bottom lengths the just pressed the verticals into the elbows with no glue. Here are the clamps to attach the curtain to the frame. No glue here they just press on and pull off. a.co/d/06Sx6tl

  • @tooncescat8040

    @tooncescat8040

    Stapled to the wood frame but the clamps shown in the video work much better on the PVC frame. I ended up putting a 5’ piece of Rebar into the ground and simply sliding the PVC onto the rebar to stand it up.
