    Just a bit of criticism. I tend to increase the volume during the launch to hear the sound by alot. Talking at this point blows out my ears. I can only imagine for those with large audio systems. Das would've killed them. Lol. So either dont talk for the duration of the rocket sound or turn yourselves down significantly. Then as the sound fades bring yourselves back in because at that point im turning my volume back down. But regardless great coverage as always. Ty all for what you do.

    I saw a shuttle launch at the cape. I think it was NO. 51, we got to go to the viewing area where that big countdown clock was. We were parked on the main coast road and had no idea if we would see anything, and some people drove by and handle us a pass to go on the base. Had video of launch but tape over it later on-- DUMB. It was amazing to see and feel.

    I don't know about rocket vernacular but traditionally, engines are fuel powered (Internal Combustion, coal/wood steam) indirect drive; motors: trend towards electric, direct drive; also known as power plants. Jet engines - rocket motors? Seems more like what rolls off the tongue easier...

  • @zysis

    @zysis

    Жыл бұрын

    Well, if we were to be technical, they are motors because they provide propulsion ie motor to the true definition of the word. Engine is also applicable but less so being that it's technically a controlled explosion much like a combustion engine but the difference is no moving parts... It's a tricky thing; steam engine but not a motor. Combustion engine but also a motor. So engines can motor but not all motors are engines. lol

    Remember those times when 1 each 2 rockets exploded? NASA has really improved till this point when huge rockets as Atlas V are just a daily rocket launch. Barely 2 minutes and that thing is flying over the Earth faster than anything here, you can even hear in the rocket camm how the wind starts to fade out as they leave the atmosphere. Hope the Artemis will launch this successful!!
