Hey my legends -- Part TWO will be uploaded within 24 hours so this video can have some time to breathe. I also have to make an intro for that part now because, as aforementioned in the intro of this part, KZread has decided to royally f*** me when it comes to copyright. Whenever I would upload the full video, it would be blocked in all regions for copyright. So, unfortunately, this was the only way. Thanks for watching, please drop a like, comment, and hit that sub button if you have not already! Cheers.

Actually you’re kinda on point! There was supposed to be a storyline in Atlas about her hair (that’s why they have that little part of her asking what her hair color is as well as when Harlan mentioned her hair when she’s captive ) it was supposed to represent her hiding due to mistrust and by the end of the film, she has it pulled up away from her face but they scrapped it entirely due to the ridicule of her bronx hair 💀

I really sat through this whole movie waiting for the plot twist where Jlo finnds out she's A.I., Her mother's finest work. Her childhood memories implanted as part of the experiment to motivate her to find A.I. Ken and she is also programmed to not like A.I. so none of the other bots accidentally reveal who is really is

I have been saying this since Simu got the Marvel part. He is just not that good of an actor. His range is very limited, he did well in that movie and Barbie, but I can't believe any of his other performances.

He should stay as an oriental martial artist just like the rock, or Jason Statham should stay as the same character they play. Sometimes range isn't 100% needed...unless you're cast in every type of role.

Hi there! The copyright guys in a way did you a favor: 2 parts means 2 videos and DOUBLE monetization from one J Lo Netflix film Analysis. Your reviews are extremely well nuanced and h ave sharp attention to detail. Very high quality when it comes to the final product - your channel is definitely going to blow up soon. I noticed that your voice has the quality of sounding relaxing yet it draws you into the story that you are telling. You are awesome! PS: in part two you should mention what a train wreck the promotional interviews for this atlas movie have been!!! Jennifer and Sterling K Brown do not get along and constantly snap at each other I think it’s hilarious 🤣

You know what trope I'm sick of when it comes to "Modern Strong Female Characters"? No father figures or hating Father Figures. Atlas's dad left her and she hates him? Really? You know who else had no dad or hates dads? The Assassin from the new Star Wars Acolyte Show, Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau from the Marvels, Egon Spengler's daughter from Ghostbusters Afterlife, all the characters from Velma and more. Can we have one Strong Female Character who loves her dad?

Watched this movie recently so seeing this video pop up is crazy timing. Your commentary has me thinking they could’ve started it off with her in prison. She did it when she was a kid but she inadvertently caused the death of a million people so she could’ve been tried for her crimes and at least served a few years then spent the rest in like DTLA 2 (lol) where she lives as a social pariah, or even in isolation somewhere secure since like she’d be the prime target for a revenge kill by some rando in DTLA because her face would be all over the news after her arrest and release. That would give stronger characterisation imo. Like what if she built her own AI chess companion from scraps and it talks a little glitchy but that’s the only company she has that doesn’t hate her and her high streak would be because she quite literally had nothing better to do or she’d lose it because humans are social creatures. Or what if because of her distrust of AI she carves out her own chess pieces from whatever she can find and plays herself. And we see her keep record of it because that’s something done in chess competitions. So let’s say the camera pans around the floor of her room and it’s littered with paper with records of chess moves on them. In scenario 2 she could be living on a homestead as a form of witness protection so they can still monitor her but she can’t properly reintegrate into normal society. She could destroy any of the AI stuff they have pre-installed into the main house there and use the scarps to build like a radio or something because that’s the extent to which she hates AI and future society’s dependence on it, except the coffee maker since she loves it so much. She could use tech scraps to make her own hack-proof intranet and they could mention how their tech people can’t break in. Which tells us she’s smart enough to be completely self-reliant and able to beat the smartest government agents trying to figure out what she’s doing on it. In the trust building she does with Gundam-whose-name-I-forgot, she could finally admit what she’s doing on there and it’s something simple like recreating old school Microsoft games like minesweeper and solitaire and playing them. Her secrecy and just general techy prowess would make them more apprehensive about taking her on because what if she decides to betray humanity and work with Harlan, because that was the narrative spread by the media but not the whole truth so part of the plot-twist can still be there later. This is just off the top of my head, but I think it would’ve made the story more interesting. Also they could’ve made the battering ram scene a bit better if they only used their X-ray goggles at the door and THEN were caught off-guard by the bomb. I already believed they were there for a particular target I didn’t need them to justify it with kinda shitty infrared effects. Neat video can’t wait for part two, although ease up on the r-slur there my man. Anyway, happy pride!

If I’ll be dead honest, where I live, nobody bats an eye with this R “slur” - so I apologize! I censored it mostly for the algorithm only & because I know it triggers certain people. It’s not something I personally worry about too much if I’ll be honest. I understand if you don’t end up liking my channel because of it, that’s a personal preference 🥂 I may use it here and there to add a punch when something is mind bogglingly stupid, but I am not using it with a bigoted spirit. I’m not that kinda guy. That being said I do only use it pretty sparingly for emphasis. Sorry if I offended you. Maybe you’ll help change my mind on it 😂 BUT - Truly, thanks for the comment!! @@Stark-Cinema Oh yeah I totally get living around people that throw words around like it’s nothing. It’s happened to me too. Recently I found out people still call Romani the g-word even though the community has internationally recognised it a slur for like 53 years. The thing about the r-slur is that it’s the ableist equivalent of calling someone/something gay. It’s cringe, and there’s better alternatives. The long of it is that it’s a pejorative. Pejoratives can be a means of dehumanising minority groups, which lead to institutional, medical or social prejudices. Dehumanisation being one of the 10 stages of genocide as outlined by Gregory Stanton. Making minorities out to be “less than” to the general population makes it easier to harm them. Which is why severely mentally and physically disabled people, as well as those perceived to have disabilities, were targeted because of Nazi beliefs that disabled people were a burden both to society and to the state. And because of this they carried out a programme of ‘euthanasia’, known as the T4 programme. It is estimated that close to 250,000 disabled people were murdered, and 360,000 individuals were subjected to forced sterilisation under the Nazi regime. Now, Hans Asperger, who was the namesake for ASD, was reported to have used harsh and violent language towards his victims, which included the 2 year old Herta that he sent to a clinic that participated in this programme. This dehumanisation was so unfortunately successful that an actual doctor would send a kid (and likely countless others) out to be murdered because he didn’t see her as worthy of helping. He undoubtedly was not the only one to use cruel language against disabled people at the time. That many people don’t magically disappear. People fell for these propaganda campaigns and ratted a lot of them out, like they did with a lot of other groups at the time. That’s the most egregious example of how harmful institutional ableism can get but as recent as 2018, a Kenyan mother recounted how her grandmother would recount ways for her to kill her son who had been born with Down Syndrome to her face. And that’s just one of the cases that was reported on. Countless disabled children still unfortunately get killed because dehumanisation still persists. Casually throwing around slurs makes ableism and general bigotry more common and openly accepted. You should (or maybe shouldn’t) see some of the horrid things mothers of autistic kids say online to often hundreds and thousands of likes and comments validating each other’s ableism. But the most pertinent thing is that, as a creator you are responsible for what you tell your audience. You censored it but you still said it so impressionable audience members fill in the blanks and what they may take from it is that it’s okay to say, at least in private. Or even that they shouldn’t say anything when a friend uses it because it’s “not a big deal because a content creator I respect says it”. And what disabled audience members take from it is that this isn’t a safe place for us. In fact even as a person irl, you should make people feel uncomfortable for saying it around you. If it doesn’t get challenged, nothing changes. And finally to answer your question, lightning doesn’t jump around like that but there is a phenomenon called “side splash” where if you’re standing under a tree that gets hit by lightning, the current can jump from the tree to you. I assume they added the jumping to put emphasis on how much more alien and hostile that planet is compared to earth. (If you couldn’t tell I like to yap haha)

Netflix is getting desperate. I cancelled an 8yr account when they added ad tier and jacked it to 17$ a month so you’d get ads. I decide it’s been long enough so I bought a month to catch up. Canceled after one month. They continued to try to charge me to renew every other day for 3 weeks. So after my 4th time cancelling this time I finally got a confirmation that they were sorry to see me go. Never again. If I get Netflix it will be with a Netflix gift card.

5:50 We live in a world where experts are often ignored over several issues, where we just had a pandemic where most countries had no plans or were unable to start them anywhere correctly. Finally, this show was made by a country where it's estimated that there are more civilian owned firearms than there is people living there. The way the movie show the government as not ready to take care of this problem and with households that own dangerous machines is probably the most realistic part of the story.

Good review, I appreciate your ability to see this film's myriad flaws, but in the future, have a little more confidence in yourself. You don't need to preface or Suffix every statement with 'To Me' or, 'I Think', or 'That's just me.' Many things in Art ARE objectively good or bad. Also, 'Good' does not equal, 'Like' and 'Bad' does not equal 'Dislike'. I can't stand 'Gone with the Wind', but it IS a masterfully made film. I also adore 'Big Trouble in Little China', but how good of a film it actually is, is an entirely debatable point. Not being mean here, you did good, just know not everything is subjective opinion.

J.Lo=terrible movie I'm glad I skipped this. I avoid her movies at all costs. Saves me a lot of time and money.

Titanfall 2 was superior in ever single way to this dreck 🤣 From story, to characters, to titan designs, to heck, even graphics. With the added bonus of not having to look an Jennifer Lopez pretending to act 😂

Funny thing is don’t even think she would be that bad in a better movie and a different role 😂 But funny comment 🙏👌

@@Stark-Cinema nah, my man. She got lucky with portraying Selena way back when, but she is an aggressively mediocre actress (or singer), let alone an action star. This isn't saying much, as I think she is part of this new wave of has been older actors being shoved into action roles to try and be relevant again 🤣

I’ve watched enough CW to know she’s above average but she’s no Oscar winner, she’s just ok but the script is ass

Totally on point with how lack lustred and non sensical this movie was. Took itself too serious and the main protagonist was just so unlikeable and the AI antagonists plan made no sense. Got to say though your overuse of small edits in your video is really distracting.

It’s the first time I’ve heard this, maybe I’ll try something different next time. I know a lot of other creators that do this and other people seem to be loving the video so I’m really torn.
