You’re right, it is like a Sunday drive for them. I remember doing the Daytona Ride Along with a no-name driver on the old track before they repaved and smoothed it out. My head was bouncing all over the place, in the turns it was all I could do to keep my helmet from forcing my head into my lap. I remember thinking, “how the heck is this guy driving right now?” So I look over going down the back stretch and he’s only got one hand on the wheel, looks at me and asks, “how ya doin!?” “Good!” Then we blast down into turn 3 and I’m straining to keep my head up all over again.

I did one a few years ago for charity, the bad part is they give you a suit and helmet that’s 4x your normal body size, my helmet kept falling over my eyes.

i been so bummed out and distressed about not going to see nascar at the atlanta motor speedway this year in march due to this corona pandemic. Thursday i turned 27 well i got the NASCAR riding experience package deal so today i booked and made reservations for the 24th so im glad i searched on youtube looks like this'll be so much fun i hope like hell to God i get to ride in the number 3 nascar car

Wow that was awesome. That's gotta be one - as you put it - amazing experience, getting to ride shotgun with your favorite driver. I liked that this ride-along was at AMS, my home track. Never gotten to do one of the ride-alongs but this video makes me want to more than ever.

Go to Texas motor speedway, they have the Richard Petty driving experience, several years ago I went, paid $400.00 to do 8 laps, a little pricey, but well worth it

It's Great that the Drivers do this for the Fans. When I race at the end of the night they the Race fans enter the pits to walk around. The Kids would stand and look at the race car, so I ask them if they would sit in the car. With no problem, they said the kids say Yes, You get the Biggest smile then you see next week, wearing a T-shirt with your number on it.

I was a driving instructor for rusty wallace experience giving ride alongs all day at Atlanta motor speedway we would only do 165 mph at 6200 rpms so slow like a Sunday druve while ppl scream

Seems after watching a few of these drives that the passenger reaction to NASCAR is pretty tame and a lot more agreeable to the ladies compared to being a passenger in other forms of motor racing.
