Great video! I'm a native ATLien. Atlanta really ain't that bad compared to other cities. It's generally pretty chill just about everywhere. I'll go anywhere anytime in Atlanta if I have to. I'm not worried about anyone bothering me. You have to look people in the eye and acknowledge them in passing. Once you do that you've established mutual respect. It goes a long way in Atlanta. If you walk around fearful, people can sense it. Be fearless, be respectful. None of us asked for the cards we were dealt in this life

I've been both following Charlie and saying this for years - his work should be shown in solo exhibitions at every major American museum (and the rest of the world too) in the country. There is no other living artist/human being who captures the American condition more candidly, respectfully and poetically than Charlie. There's no need to possess an education or to intellectualise what you're seeing when you watch his videos - they speak directly to everybody's relationship with humanity in one way or another and more broadly to the cosmos that birthed us. You're my favourite living artist Charlie. I really hope to see your work recognised with the respect it so readily deserves one day.

I lived in Atlanta back in 1996. I worked at a small collection agency. I was the minority. I worked with some very, very cool people. There was a Black lady whom I found out wanted to date me.
