What an amazing skyline and ride! For those in the comments who say you'd love to see it, I can echo Jim's sentiment that the camera doesn't do it justice. I just got to Atlanta Thursday on business, and was so stoked that my taxi took me right thru the center of the city. If only my camera worked better at night! Great video Jim!

I just want to say..Wow!.. What your version of this video means to me is unmatched so far. 7 years ago I had the "call" from Florida to western KY, that my father was dying and get there quick. So, I borrowed a car, got my 19 year old son and took off like a bat out of hell to Fla. Going thru Atlanta Ga at night was so memorable to me with the lights and buildings and the song playing on the radio was Ghost-riders in the Sky by Outlaws.I listened to it while playing your video. With the fast paced motion as I was in such a hurry( I made it with hour and half of his death)..I thank you so much for this precise memory.

Carri Alsbrooks It's not all heavy metal but I understand your connection. No, we were on vacation, I meant similar experience with regard to your comment about the lights and buildings in a fast paced setting, that connected with me because that's what driving at night in LA is like, it's a total rush, unlike anything else I've experienced.

I like to call ATL Dallas' "sister city". We're both landlocked with no major port or body of water and both benefit from massive airports. It's also my 2nd home because my family lives near there. Been there many times. The skyscrapers are great but I still say Dallas has a better downtown skyline. ATL skyline is spread out....though beautiful.

It's lovely here and I ADORE where I'm from! :D

If I had to rate Atlanta's skyline, I'd put it at #4 behind Chicago, NY, and Seattle. Absolutely incredible. Something about this video really grabs me, I think because it reminds me of those long summer drives from Michigan down to Orlando, and the excitement of breathing in that southern air after 18 hours in the car.

Atlanta is a nice place to live, its not that high compared to some other places to live, always something to do. Great places to eat, nice clubs to go to, awesome places to shop. Know these videos are older, but nice job. I know you like the view of the city coming down I-85, but do you have any going South on I-75; that view at the connector kinda makes the city jump out at you as you come around the trees. And northbound on I-75 makes a good view of the Church of the Apostles and of the Cobb Energy Center. Also 285 EB on the Northend captures a good view of Dunwoody skyline. And Paces Ferry bridge over 285 has great view of Atlanta Buchead skyline from a distance.

Omg you lived there also. I loved that apartment…
shout out to Atlanta , Enjoyed the ride 2even thou you was drivin fast . Much love to that city from Montreal . n thanks to you freewayjim
Well done! That was amazing :)
Awesome video. Thanks for sharing.

Jim, I'm sorry for having made the comments. I think your photography reveals a tremendous and conscientiously applied talent. I had no business sullying your work with comments on your choice of music or my dislike of a sign near the Downtown Conncector. Thanks BHG
Bravo! Thats really a great video.
We have a section of freeway like that here in Phoenix. You come over this hill and BAM! They city and mountains in the distance is all you can see. It's amazing. Drove past it today in fact.
Congrats on another 100K video!
atlanta is truly a wonderous city, lots to do , and very historic i wish i could live there.
ATLANTA IS BEAUTIFUL SOO CLEAN LOOKING COMPARED TO NEW YORK !
I love Atlanta, hello from Norcross G.A.
Absolutely amazing!
This is why I've heard some people call ATL the NYC of the south, absolutely beautiful!
WELCOME TO GA EVERYBODY!!! 💛 The state known to experience all four seasons in one season...😎We love our state!!!😊
I live in Atlanta and I LOVE it! There is lots to do here and I LOVE Downtown Atlanta. The weather is nice here, too! Not to mention how Diverse it is down here. We have lots of different skin colored people down here. There is even some parts in Georgia where you can find a WHOOOLEEE section of just nothing but Vietnamese and Mexican food spots. It's lovely here and I ADORE where I'm from! :D
I never get tired of that view of Buckhead as you go down 400 southbound. I love how the view of Buckhead spreads out before you and then you go through that tunnel under the building and then all the tall buildings are just gone. :)
Atlanta is so pretty. This makes me want to go there.
If I had to rate Atlanta's skyline, I'd put it at #4 behind Chicago, NY, and Seattle. Absolutely incredible. Something about this video really grabs me, I think because it reminds me of those long summer drives from Michigan down to Orlando, and the excitement of breathing in that southern air after 18 hours in the car.
i use to live in atl, stayed there 20 years and loved it. a beautiful and expensive city. your video's bring out the beauty of the place, as for the nay sayers are concerned---- any place has it's vices----try living in the sticks where i live now----no life.
Atlanta is a nice place to live, its not that high compared to some other places to live, always something to do. Great places to eat, nice clubs to go to, awesome places to shop. Beautiful at night with the lights on. Its the south so people aren't afraid to smile and say hi, we might even wave at you one time or another lol.
Love it. Sometimes I just ask my mom if we can ride...just to ride...it's soo pretty at night with all the lights. I
Very nice! Never knew ATL was that nice of looking city. I honestly didn't expect this.

It really is, I have a newer version of this ride with a better camera (shot last month). 14-01 Atlanta #01: GA-400 to I-85 South to Downtown at Twilight
video was very good, these images show that the night is beautiful in atlanta
Im here now from jax, and this city reminds me a bit from New York. Love Atlanta GA
yo homie,im going to wrestlemania here in a coulpe of weeks.ive been here with my family, but never driving by myself.ive been trying to get someone to ethier ride with me up there so i wont be alone,or take me on my day off so i would know what to expect.im only an hour and a half away but still.you've taken me there man!thanks that was cool as hell!now im more hype to go to the city than wrestlemania!
The opening looked good -- but the nighttime skyline of Atlanta was phenomenal! The camera may not do it justice, but you did get a terrific shot of a lovely skyline.
@cochrab Thanks for watching, I usually speed them up 3.5 to 4x on highways and 2-3x on street tours.
Awesome in my top 5 of greatest videos
Im from LA and all those lanes are way too familiar. This is one of the many reasons why i left the city. besides its noisy, more crime, and its expensive. i now live in a small rural town
you would fit right in, many people here from South America.
It's in the closing credits at 4:18 "Standing By My Side" by Musetta
Wow, I'm blown away!! I am a road trip junkie and your videos are top notch. Love the music!! How fast do you run the video (2x,3x)?? I will be going along wherever you go!
@drunkinpainter666 I greatly appreciate that, thanks for watching!
Really impressive, nice video!
Atlanta is definitely a one of a kind city.
