Summary: -Atika bint Zayd was known for her beauty, eloquence, character, poetry and worship -Atika means the one who puts on a lot of perfume. -Her father Zayd rejected alcohol, idol worshiping, burial of young daughters, etc. -Her brother Saeed is among the ten promised Paradise and was married to Fatimah bint Khattab. -Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr was the first husband of Atika. -Abdullah felt madly in love with his wife because of which he held himself back from good deeds. Abu Bakr saw this and told him to divorce his wife because he wanted his family to serve the Prophet PBUH in the best manner. ⛔Note⛔: You are not Abu Bakr nor is your son Abdullah, you can't tell your children to divorce his/her spouse. This was a special scenario. -Abdullah said that he can never ever divorce a woman like her. So, Abu Bakr allowed him to do so. -In the siege of Taif, he was struck by an arrow coz of which he died later on in Al Madinah. -She then married Zayd ibn Khattab (brother of Umar ra)who passed away in Yamama as a shaheed.Umar married her and passed away as a shaheed. Zubayr who is among the ten promised Paradise married her and died as a shaheed in his salah during the Battle of Jamel. -When Zayd ra passed away she took an oath again that she'll not get married but Umar said to her that don't make haram for yourself what Allah has made halal. -People said (not sarcastically)whoever wanted martyrdom let him marry Atika. -She was married to Husayn ra who also died as a shaheed but after her death. -She died at the age of 72.

You forgot her first husband was zayd ibn al khattab who was divorced but he to was martyr. Then her second husband was abdullah bint abu bakr r.a. .

Alhamdulillah, Finally got to know history about my name. I always used to hear that this name is very famous in Malaysia for girls that’s why my uncle named me Atika but today got to know Islamic history as well. Thank you so much for this video.

Can't imagine her cumulative emotions through the martyrdom of all her husbands. Can't imagine the levels of paradise and blessing Allah s.w.t blessed her with. She was the wife of 5 martyrs. Imagine her status to have been given such honors by Allah s.w.t.

I think Husain wasn't born before Abdulahi Abubakr married her. I love how our prophet and the sahaba used to take care of widows.

Subhanallah, I just started watching this beautiful series a month back, and I've fallen in love with it :). In fact, I feel sad that the ummah has knowledge of the lives of politicians, sports players, etc., but have very little knowledge of the inspiring lives of the Sahabah(RA). Shiekh, can we also have a series on the "Stories/Incidents narrated in the Holy Qura'an"? There seem to be so many incidents narrated in the Holy Qura'an that most of us aren't aware of, and InshaAllah it would be of great benefit.

"Who is the fifth husband of 'atika? None other than Al Husayn R.A, whose shahadah is one of the most tragic in history" and my mouth just drops - yet another shahadah, subxanallah.

When I hear stories like this it just makes me dream that I could have the opportunity to know such beautiful strong intellectual women like herself that some of the attributes may pass onto me except for the dead husbands' part unless it is by the will of Allah that they die Shaheed.

Abu bakr r.a was the caliphate of the ummah, he had a job to spread islam rightly, and all the battles that were happening, i am sure he thought rightly to tell his son to divorce her. And also the time was very different.

Who are they . The fact that her place inshallah is so high in Allah's eyes is itself what matter. Even zaynab bint khuzaymah wife of the prophet married five times. Society makes a big deal if women marries multiple times😢. They think women don't hv feelings only. Allah swt knows the best

There is a famous lie about how Umar married Atika. It confuses many Muslims. Could you pls explain eg refute that ? May Allah reward you.
