ATI HPSS-32 Request Sound-Off, Wail, Hauppauge, NY 12/23/2021

@SirensofLongIsland was present with me for this test.
General Info:
This ATI is located at the Hauppauge Youth Organization Baseball Fields on Kings Hwy. Hauppauge FD has 3 other ATI's and an STH-10 at HQ. They replaced a system that consisted of 2 Sterling M-10s, a Model 2, and another STH-10. Hauppauge FD has 3 other ATI HPSS-32s. One on New Hwy east of Robin Dr, one on Grassy Pond Dr S south of Holly Dr, and another on Bedford Ave south of Terry Rd. None are used for calls but they all silent test on Wednesdays at noon.

So they aren’t used for anything? Or are they used for special calls like working fires or MCI’s?

Nope. The FSK is programmed onto the operations frequency and it steps over everything so until they can get a new frequency they're not using them

I checked Google maps and there is an STH10 on Bedford Ave not an ATI? Was that one replaced? Edit: oh no wait I’m stupid that picture is from 2012 right before it got replaced 😂

Yep🤣...apparently the M-10s didn't work at the time. was told they were originally going to get Eclipse 8s but they were manipulated into getting ATIs.

Oh ok. Can’t seem to find this in Happauge. I saw the STH-10 with my father a few times.

This siren was heard from Smithtown when Your average gear head filmed this back in 2020

It can be heard from Smithtown. This replaced a model 2. The other 3 replaced an M-10 and 2 more STH-10’s.

Should have at least kept the model 2,STH-10 (other one),and the 2 sterling M-10’s (8/16 port)
