Wow very nice you were able to get the most hardest truck to film at the Santa Paula yard due to the fact it hardly ever goes out only just for bulky items/Christmas trees but I am very happy Athens been having to use it for residential routes more sense Athens been running so short on trucks sense they keep retiring alot of trucks. So far no answers yet but I think they are going to retire the ex-EDS diesel peterbilt 320 amrep hardox ASL sense they are not wanting to fix it at all.

Not even Recology Golden Gate has oldies like this one in 2021. Can't believe this truck outlived even their 2002-2004 fleet. I assume this truck ran out of NorCal's Vernon or Gardena yard. They also used to run a Heil front load which they never repainted until they retired it as well as one Volvo Amrep front loader.

Pretty sure this migrated down during the brief recology tenure. The old PV fleet was all numbered in the 1200s, and the last truck in NorCal paint I know of was a mechanic truck 1276. Didn’t get repainted until 2018, since retired.

I worked with a guy he had to look at the packer cycle I would tell him don’t do that shit especially packing bulky items something can shoot out at u . He tells me he knows ok I go do another route around 10:00am that morning guy comes around telling me how a guy got hurt EMS was there I said ok I get to the yard I asked they tell me the guy I’m talking about had his right eye shot out later I see him minus a right eye I just looked at him and walked away.
