St. Athanasius was a deacon at the Council of Nicea .. yet another testament to his courage and conviction
I love this video in St. Athanasius of Alexandria, my patron Saint!! O Holy and Venerable Hierarch Athanasius of Alexandria, pray for us sinners!!
As a Protestant, I love these videos!!! I hope to see your channel grow! The editing, the vibes of the room you’re in, the music, such a good video :)

It doesn’t matter if you are Protestant, you also need to know the truth you’re looking for. You are Christian which means you’re potentially Catholic.
Thumbs up from Great Britain - you're off to a fantastic start. Short, high quality Orthodox videos is something KZread's been lacking. Well-edited, informative and bite-sized in a sea of "three hours of a guy talking to his webcam in front of a bookcase" videos.

Thank you SO much for the support! It means a lot to hear that! There are some great long-form lectures on KZread, and they might get referenced for people wanting deeper research, but we'll be making these bite-size videos weekly. Short and simple. Thanks for subscribing!

@@Patristix I want to ask: How do you mention Saint Anthony without also using his title of the founder of monasticism?
I first “met” Athanasius” in the novel,”The Beacon at Alexandria.” Great story, great man.
I love this! Then the music really adds to your commentary. As one who is growing (and becoming a Coptic Orthodox Christian), this is really helpful to me. ☦️🙏🏿

So glad to make the introduction! He's a really great person to know
Beautiful
He also wrote Life of Anthony the Great which is one of the best early Christian books from the genre of biography.
I love the way and the enthusiasm you speak, Stephan! I am usually deal with the topics of church history from the intellectual/philosophical point of view - it is a refreshment to see it in a more 'artistic' way with deep personal emotions (with a professional film editing and production).

As a Latter-day Saint I named my youngest son Julian Athanasius. There is an irony in this for the theologically savvy.
Let's not forget that New Testament as it is today was formulated by him. There were other listings from other bishops which sometimes included the unrecognized books (Gospel of Nicodemus, Gospel of Thomas etc), but as the NT is ordered now (The Four Gospels, followed by Acts, and the Epistles) was done by St. Athanasius. Even MORE of a Christian hero than stated here. Seriously, his contribution to the faith cannot be understated.

Greetings from Ireland🇨🇮 Wonderful short testimony on this amazing Saint🙏 He has to be the very top role model for our times when the heresy of modernism is rampant and the pressure is on to 6:30 to BS👊✅ Pray that all of us will have the faithfulness of St. Atanasius🙏
Amazing thanks.
Thank you! I just found this channel this week and it's quickly becoming one of my favorites!
Excellent video! Concise, clear easy to understand. I’d love to hear from you about all the Church Fathers, who were their mentors were, who are they disciple of, their work and legacy. They are the ones that knew how to defend our Lords’ teaching out of love for Him and his Church. Thank you for sharing your input with us. We all need to be informed and formed about our Catholic Faith and his valuable members who are the ones who sustains the Church. We need to value the treasure of our beloved Catholic Church. Once we know her better, we’ll love her and serve her better as these heroes and saints did. 🙏♥️🙏
Your channel is wonderful! Thank you for posting, I share your videos, too. God Bless ☦️🙏🏻
Ive heard the name so many times and I had no idea. Thx
Thank you for introducing us to him, surely a man for our time in this dark age of “relative truth”. Last night I ordered your bag with his logo just because his statement resonated so for me. Thanks for the book link too, I’m off to read …
"Are we prepared to be the only ones?" - what a profound question.
Amazing videos! Well done! I can now share with my friends who are interested in Orthodoxy some high quality videos that are interesting and easy to understand
If Australians stand against the fact that the most delicious honey comes from the bees collecting their treasures in the fields and forest next to my home village, I stand against all bees of Australia. Despite the fact that it might end up very painful... ;-) Thanks for spotting the light on this great personality with such enthusiasm!

I'm an evangelical protestant and I absolutely LOVE your videos! Keep up the great work!
Thank you brother! Your lectures are beautiful. Can you make videos about the Alexandrian school and school in Antioch? It would be useful for early christian history. I love the allegorical hermeneutics of Saint Gregory of Nyssa. It might be useful to explain why there were two schools and how they influenced today's church in Bible interpretation and exegesis.
I really love your videos, especially on the early Church Fathers. This was not covered in my early Catholic education. Love to all my Catholic and Orthodox brothers and sisters. Be strong in Christ.
Love LOVE the new channel, and really wish you well in growing this beautiful channel. I know already that eventually you're going to become so big and popular that you won't be able to read/respond to people's comments after a certain point, so just throwing it out now that I'm happy I get to be one of your early subscribers to what will eventually become one of the most premier channels of Theology and Christian history on KZread. Good luck, brother! I'll be rooting for you and plugging your channel whenever I can 💪

There's a link in the bio to a free e-book. Otherwise the book is generally called "On the Incarnation" by Saint Athanasius of Alexandria and can be found in many places!
on the incarnation was the first book i ever read of early church fathers also lol they didnt even dispute if demons existed or inhabiated people. they debated how is it so that they only flee in the name of Jesus Christ.
My wife and I are going to be blessed with having a son next month. Now I need to explain to my wife that his middle name will need to be Athanasius. :)
