Around 1460, Dieric Bouts painted the ‘Triptych of the Descent from the Cross’ in Leuven. The work soon found its way to Granada, where it ended up in the collection of the Capilla Real.
Following the exhibitions ‘Dieric Bouts. Creator of images' and 'Atelier Bouts' at M Leuven, the three panels of the work travelled to Leuven again in 2023. Between 2024 and 2026, the work will be examined and restored, before returning to Granada.
