Ateez with Hala Hala were really brave, because at the time of Hala Hala they were still rookies (they debuted in 2018). A boygroup that shortly after debut decided to hide their faces so that the people could focus on the performance. That was definitely a bold move, to say the least

When I realised it was the intro of sector 1 I was impressed 😭😂 they really have at least 2 albums of advance 😂

the stank face when mingi popped up and the mental breakdown when hongjoong appeared are SO relatable (as a minjoong bias myself) lol. i'm so glad you're enjoying your journey!! some recommendations: aurora, rocky, turbulence, the real, paradigm, ofc crazy form (their latest release) and i would love for you to check their latest albums, which 2 of them were mini eps, so it's roughly 5 b-side songs each (besides the title track). their bsides DO NOT disappoint, it's worth checking them out!! also, they had unit songs in the album that came out in december and they released music videos for those songs, so i recommend them as well as mingi's project which was released this week on youtube called "tunnel"

Hala Hala is impressive in so many ways... Like, their faces don't even show, all you have is their pure talent and they kick ass. Just a curiosity: Hala Hala is practically a continuation of Say My Name, even the choreography completes each other. And I'll briefly tell you what you need to know about the lore: The boys become friends, when Yeosang's father finds out, he makes the group split up. In order to bring his friends back together, Hongjoong finds an hourglass (cromer) that, in addition to bringing everyone back together, also takes them to another dimension (world Z) where any type of feeling was prohibited and people were brainwashed by the government. They meet Halateez, who was captured and saves them. There is a place that is like the outskirts where people are addicted to smelling a mist (?) that brings back memories and feelings. ATEEZ and Halateez's plan is to save everyone and return to the world they came from (world A). Inception is the first MV that tells the story from the beginning, so it wouldn't change much if you watched it in order of release. After inception it would be more or less like this: Treasure, Wave, Illusion, Wonderland, Say My Name, Hala Hala, Answer, Fireworkds, Turbulence, The Real, Guerrilla, Bouncy, Halazia, Crazy Form and Pirate King. They also have a Diary Film about the lore, you would like it!

fun fact, San always goes so hard at the end of Hala Hala that he usually breaks his head mic or it just flies off of him lol Also idk if you can react to these, but you should totally check out their Immortal Songs stages and their Kingdom Legendary War performances (i know we don't talk about kingdom but they killed it there despite the circumstances, skz was in kingdom too so you'll see some familiar faces and find some fun interactions between the groups!) even if it's just personally! They're such amazing performers, i constantly go back and watch them lol.

Dune is an awesome song (but it doesn't have an mv or performance video) , Django ,wake up ,Arriba and cyberpunk are a must performance wise(but you can only find them from the concert performance videos,if you search ateez 2024 concert you will find them ,i think someone has the whole concert on seoul in KZread). From mvs the real is a hype song ,turbulence (a sad song), eternal sunshine, wave ,dreamers ( summer happy songs vibes )

I'm pretty sure someone already has said this, but the ends of some songs connect to the beginning of other songs that are released later or sometimes tease the next title track. At the end of the Answer music video, that music is the same as the beginning for Sector 1 (that's in the same album as Guerrilla). I also loved your reaction to Hongjoong in Thanxx 😂😂

I LOVE YOUR REACTIONS!! I see you really like Hongjoong, so I advise you to watch his solo covers of songs and, in general, watch ATEEZ covers! my favorite is leave the door open

I’m so excited for you to get into the lore! they have a lot (like a LOT) of extra content to support their storyline, including short films, trailers, scenes acted out in their concerts, and actual written pieces called diary entries hidden in their physical albums. their storyline is so complicated I couldn’t really explain it in a single comment 😭 but it’s so fun to discover!

Since San keeps sticking out to you and you also you seem to have similar music tastes. I suggest Fireworks, Take Me Home… no MV, watch the live version that uses giant mirrors in the background and San as a thumbnail, Cyberpunk… no MV, there is a KBS World TV version, but you’d have to mask it for copyright purposes, otherwise there are TONS of fancams (look for the ones with San in a crop top and Seonghwa in a strappy shirt!), and Utopia (there is only an MV for the Japanese version).

First of all, I want to say thank you for your reactions! I love watching them and you're one of my favorite reactors so far! I will try to explain the lore to you in a way that makes it easier to grasp, but I don't promise anything as there is a LOT that even atinys who try to crack the lore don't understand. First, so far there have been 3 main eras for their lore. The Treasure era, the Fever era and The World era (in this order). That's why the albums are called part. 1/fin/epilogue, etc. It's a whole story and each album is a puzzle piece. The Treasure era was their debut era with tracks such as Pirate King, Hala Hala, Say My Name, Wave, Wonderland and Answer (and more). It was meant to introduce us to the main idea of their lore: Ateez as pirates (Pirate King) on their journey to find a treasure (Treasure being the 2nd song they debuted with). In Hala Hala we see what atiny call the 'Halateez' which are Ateez's alternative egos from another dimension (we learn more about them later). Halateez can also be seen in the MV of Say My Name (I recommend watching it for the lore) and Answer. In Answer Ateez and Halateez can be seen working together or teaming up (the whole scene at the table) against a common enemy (the guy at the beginning and the end of the MV dressed in white). So what you need to understand so far is that there are 2 different Ateez and the guy dressed in white is their enemy. The Fever era came afterwards, BUT lore wise it happened before Treasure era. It explains how Ateez became pirates and who Halateez are. The main title tracks are THANXX, Inception, Fireworks, Eternal Sunshine, Deja Vu and Turbulence among others. The era starts with a video called 'Diary Film' which shows the backstory of each member in the lore. We see much of the Diary Film in the Inception MV. The backstories are also inspired from the members' real life struggles. We also see the meeting between Ateez and Halateez for the first time so I really recommend watching it! Basically, there are 2 different dimensions: Universe A and Universe Z. Ateez are from universe A which is the normal world, just like ours. Universe Z is a dystopian universe where Halateez are from which is ruled by dictatorship and where emotions, art, music, etc. are forbidden. People are literally being brainwashed. Halateez are rebels and the man in white from Answer is actually a sort of police from Universe Z who tries to stop the rebellion from happening. Halateez can't save Universe Z by themselves so they ask their alter egos (Ateez) for help. The 'Chromer' is also introduced, which is a hourglass looking object which allows them to travel between the 2 universes. But important to note: they can only travel during a full moon. On other days they can't travel with their bodies, but with their minds (trough dreams and such, but it's a bit abstract and less clear). This leads to The World era which happens mainly in Universe Z and consists of Ateez trying to overthrow the government there. It also has a lot of videos alike the 'Diary Film' which helps understand the lore there. The World consists of title tracks such as Guerrilla, Halazia, Bouncy and Crazy Form. I think The World era is the easiest to understand as it has a clear, straight forward narrative - being rebels, overthrowing the government. There is a lot more but as long as you understand this I think the story will be easier to follow and understand. I hope this wasn't too overwhelming haha! Sorry for the long comment and have a nice day!

Crazy Form has to be next! I would recommend Fireworks (the song teased at the end of Thanxx) too but just note that Mingi doesn’t appear in that MV as it was during his hiatus but his voice is still in the song! I’d also recommend Wave and Illusion!

i think you would loveeeee the real! its a really good hype energy song and the mv is so funny but also really cool :) there is even bloopers at the end lol i would also suggest crazy form their newest release! and fireworks~ most of their songs are very hard hitting with great energy but they do have slower, sad, and more vocal heavy songs if ur interested too :) thank u for the ateez reactions!

So this is something I have on my phone (sad I know 😂) but I copy and paste it when I find someone new and who is interested in the Lore. Love your reactions btw xx Soo. I know ima Miss out soo much and someone could probably explain it better but here it goes lol. Ateez are time travelling Pirates. There are two universes which they travel back and forth with using the Cromer (hourglass) Universe A - Our world, Universe Z - ( which is where most recent MVs are set. so Guerrilla, Halazia, crazy form also ) Universe Z the government has brainwashed society and has banned art, music, dance anything that evokes emotion. So they are trying to overthrow the government. The pirate theme has been there since day 1 and they have also incorporated it in competitions they have taken part in (Kingdom - Legendary War being one) it is absolutely brilliant. Now there is a way that you could watch the videos in a certain order to get a better understanding. But I think that's not fun. It's great to watch them in the order they were released to form your own ideas and I think it helps you to understand how their sound has changed because although I think Atiny are always surprised by what they release it always makes sense with the part of the Lore they are at and what they are trying to explain. I have missed out so much I have seen better explanations. (I apologise about that) if you think you would enjoy the lore and want to start at the beginning then it's Pirate King Treasure Say my name Hala Hala Illusion Wave Wonderland Answer Zero fever part 1 : Diary film (not a song but important for the storyline Inception Thanxxx I’m the one (fire works) Then watch all performances on Kingdom: Legendary war as they incorporated their storyline in the competition. Deja vu Eternal Sunshine Turbulence The Real I think this order is correct and there's more after the Real. I'm sure other Atiny will correct anything. Hala Hala made me an atiny! It must be the SICKIEST sounds/performance I have ever seen. So I feel you. I’m really enjoying your journey. Halateez is iconic. I’m not good explaining their lore but it’s a big part of it. Also Answer is my favorite tt of them. It’s so emotional. The melody is amazing. Inception and Thanxx are both tt of the same amazing album. It shows their versatility since one is more of a romantic song and the other a badass Ateez style song 😂 If I can I would recommend you to get to listen to their songs and seeing their stages before getting in the lore ❤

Ateez really are the best!!!! I love those guys! In Hala Hala, there’s a part in the chorus where I swear it sounds like they’re saying “F**k me, let’s get going now”! LOL! I know it’s not what they’re saying, whatever it is is in Korean, but it’s totally what I hear, so of course I have to sing my version of the lyrics anytime I hear the song!!! You totally have to check out Cyperpunk!!!! It’s my absolute favorite song by them. It’s a b-side and there isn’t an MV for it, but there’s an incredible live version of it. You’ll definitely need your fan if you watch that one! ;)

Definitely Crazy Form, Wave, Turbulence and The Real. I discovered them about 6 weeks ago and I am completely hooked. As you love San I would really recommend his Imagine Dragons Warriors Dance cover as it is amazing but you really will need air con not just the fan. Also to get to know them check out their Wanteez series its so funny

I recommend: Fireworks (fireee), The Real (The MV is is my favorite!) & Cyberpunk. Treasure & Turbulence also if you feel like listening to their slower songs. Eternal Sunshine & Illusion for bubblier music. I wish you could watch uploads of Ateez's recent concert Towards the Light (even if it's not for content and just for your own enjoyment). Your mind will be blown. The production is amazing!!!

I'm kind of late to this one, but I'm so happy you continue to share your journey with us. I love seeing your excitement and enjoyement. About the "they seem to do everything intentionally" yes. They most of the time do. There are some videos (mv or performance) that doesn't connect to their lore and universe, but that's just a few, most connects (even their trailers and teasers sometimes helppp) and oh their story line is good, their lore is deep. I myself can't even fully understand it and I have been here for like 3rd year now and I'm over many (failed) attempt to consume everything to understand it. 😂 The closest was an educational video on youtube, but I'd wait with that until you saw most of the mvs, because of the spoilers. I agree with the other comments, their recent album is fire, but I would also recommend some of the more calming or chill songs too for not only a breath of fresh air but also to show their diverse discography and the various genre they do: wave (has mv) turbulance (has mv) eternal sunshine (has mv) aurora (has no mv, but does have a performance video version) utopia (no mv) thank u (no mv, but there is an it's live version that is beautiful and maybe could work for youtube) I hope you enjoy your journey further aswell. 💚

Hi 🙂 Thanks for reacting to ATEEZ again. In your last video you mentioned that you watched a Guide to ATEEZ. Did you film it? Also, just wanted to mention for the dance practices how awesome Jongho is for doing his high notes then going back into the choreo flawlessly, or sometimes even doing the super hard choreos while singing flawlessly (you can see this more in the live performances. And yes, I know all 8 of them sing beautifully while dancing super hard.) Recommendation: I know how overwhelming it can get and I know you're excited to get to the most requested songs but, my recommendation is: Start from the beginning and work your way to the most recent. This is because all ATEEZ songs are amazing and this is a way to make sure you won't miss any of them. Don't forget to check out the extras as well: some of the members have released covers and performance videos as gifts for us. You must watch those. Also, you mentioned certain videos getting blocked. I don't really know how it works because I don't have a YT channel, but from watching reactions, I have seen many people post MVs, dance practices, (some) performances, fancams and relays. So, there are ways to do it. Maybe someone who's got a channel can advise, but some people pause or put filters on the screen, that may be a way. One more thing that you may have already found out but that I didn't know until I got into ATEEZ is fancams. If you like their choreo, you should definitely watch their fancams, as they give you the opportunity to focus on each member individually. I recommend all of them, so... if it was a movie I'd say to get your popcorn ready, but with ATEEZ, the danger of choking is high, so tread carefully. Looking forward to your next ATEEZ reaction. 🙂

Hi, no I didn’t film the guide. Jongho (and all of them) are so talented. Wasn’t aware of their covers. I’ll add them to the list ☺️ It seems for me that it’s not the video but the audio that is copyright claimed. It’s not being blocked but just demonetised so I don’t receive ad revenue. That’s okay. I would say definitely check out all the songs in all their albums. Bcs their B-sides are at the same level of their title tracks. U will find A LOT of bops to add to your playlist.

Watch them in whatever order you want, honey. You'll catch everything and piece it together afterwards. Sometimes it's more fun to have a little mystery at the end, just like we did. If you knew which song was at the end of every video because it's the start of the next on on the list, that's not as much fun as "wowww i wonder what song that will be!😲" ;)

The more mellow songs? Now that you know them a a little bit more, watch: Wave, illusion, eternal sunshine, aurora (the ones with music videos)… i’d say listen to unit songs, but go dig deeper first before you listen to matz, it’s you, youth and everything… and then may i suggest one day react to their solos and covers!

The first time I don’t have subtitles. I just focus on audio and video. Then I go back and read all the lyrics. I get too overwhelmed trying to follow everything at once. I used to not focus on lyrics when listening to music. But since getting into kpop I’ve come to really appreciate the lyrical side to songs 🩷

That is interesting, since I was little and listened to music, the lyrics always did it for me. Even now, if I don't like the lyrics, I won't listen to a song.@@nicsandnacsateez lyrics are heavily related to their lore so everything connects and they are deep, they don't have almost any love songs. It's all about life and the struggles, depression, anxiety, rebellion, etc.

You need to do some bsides, take me home, promise, silver light, dreamy day, cyberpunk, most of them have some kinda of performance video/stage I think silver light is the only one that doesn’t, but sooo good
