Shaboom really surprised me...literally my fav coz we experienced a new side of Ateez. if have to describe this album in one word...it would be Groove/Groovy.

Forreal! Legit entirely new feel

golden hour pt 1 feels both very new and like classic ateez... they're playing with genres they've briefly touched on before and taking a small step away from what i'd call the bombastic, densely layered production of the world series. it's still got a lot going on, but the album feels like a lighter, breezy summer vibe? idk. also the diversity of the track list, both sonically and thematically, definitely throws me back to the chaos of the fever series lol; i guess i've gotten really used to the almost concept album-ish cohesion of the world series, so this is a nice change of pace. i obviously like the world, but i'm glad ateez are able to switch things up and keep their music/albums from feeling artistically stagnant.

Yea I think that’s the biggest thing that stuck out to me, this definitely felt different from The World. Switching a sound and concept up while maintaining the qualities that make u who u are. That is #RealShit lol

I’m latina and blind just reminds me of my childhood. The trumpets and all the instruments are on point. It sounds like the music they usually play at a latino party and I love that so much 🔥I’m not saying this because ateez are my ultimate favorite, but I have never seen a kpop group make a song so representative of the actual latino culture.

As an enjoyer of make it bun dem by skrillex and Damian Marley, shaboom scratched every itch in my brain haha i don’t know why that song popped in my head as soon as i heard it. it’s so goooooood. Whole album 10/10

empty box reminds me of late 2000s emo slow songs lol like good charlotte's we believe. Which makes it one of my faves

Oh that’s so real

I 100% understand why "Work" is the title track. It's a very fun summer song, and is a great choice, especially after Coachella, especially when it's appealing to the masses (while still having Ateez flare). But I think it's the weakest song of the album (excluding Golden Hour), and "Blind", "Siren" or "Shaboom" to me is a hundred times better. (I love Empty Box, but it would make a boring title track.) But then again, maybe it's my curse as an atiny that I always love bides more than title tracks.

I actually 100% agree tbh. Work is great but as of rn (even 4 days later lol) I would say Work is probably the bottom of the list for me. But buttom with a big ole heart next to it lol

I eagerly wait for your reactions to ateez because its finally like talking to someone who appreciates them like I do and not as a stereotype of KPOP. I wont spoil it for you but you have to read the diary and lyrics translation at genius . everything comes together as a puzzle and makes you appreciate the album even more. 1-blind feels like the euphoria they have after having won in world z, a celebration of sorts 2-work in my opinion is self sarcasm the men who were living a avengers life in world z in world A are well gotta work , the song as usual has parallels with world A, and their real life which is brilliant 3- empty box is the they adult life metaphor where you have to decide to let go of the dreams or things you are hanging on to but its comforting 4- shaboom is kind of like the racing thoughts in mind which well yeah is the confusion they have after being back in our mundane world lol 5- Siren feels like hear ones calling. Siren after wake up is the song I will never stop loving

am gonna be straight up honest this album kinda sucked. the bsides were all underwhelming. work was repetitive. i always love ateez comebacks with my sol but this was medicore af

i love much opinions differ over this album. it's my favourite Ateez album so far (or a tie with Outlaw). but I felt very meh about The World EP. Fin as an album and with some exceptions I don't listen to it at all, while this one has been on repeat since it came out. :D
