oh thats so cool! I never knew that about his verse lol. and you're right, korean doesn't have a "z" sound, so usually whenever an english word that does is written in korean it will be replaced with a letter more similar to a "j" sound (ㅈ)

You have to do the live version of Cyberpunk! The choreo is insane!

Hearing Cyberpunk for the first time was a revelation. That entire EP was a religious experience. I literally quit my job to go to the concert because working retail, they wouldn’t let me use my (more than ample unused) PTO to have one day off in November to go to the show. It was the only chance I’d be able to see that absolute goddamn masterpiece of an EP performed, so yep. I have a much better job now!

Cyberpunk hits different when you see them live in concert! They put Magic Mike to shame.

I haven't been so tickled by a reaction to Ateez songs in my life. You had me laughing and giggling all the way through. When I watched your first deep dive and saw the song selections I thought, No way this combo is going to work and then it did! To the Beat has a “selfie” mv posted on ATEEZ channel so they should be able to do a reaction without copyright strikes if they use that mv. Don’t Stop has an official mv and it’s actually one of my favorites. They got played big time by the Universe app cause they took it down when the company folded and it was never released on ATEEZ channel. Luckily the channel _it’s me_ did post it so you can still watch it. The way they didn’t promote it, ATEEZ never got to perform it live, never did any choreo and Universe just took it down like it never existed still angers me

If SMN was dropped as a comeback recently, they would've had the whole industry in a CHOKEHOLD

I love seeing people finding Ateez and getting hyped up because they deserve all the hype. I can't name my favorite song, so it's definitely understandable if it's hard to say what's the best one. They have so many great songs, both tittle tracks and b-sides, and their live performances are amazing. The Real, Rocky, Thanxx, Turbulence (more vocal-focused and slower song) are great with MVs. All the unit songs that are coming out this month (4 MVs in one month, they're spoiling us already and this year has barely begun) are definitely worth of listening and shows different sides of Ateez. B-sides, for example Dune, Wake up, Sector 1, The leaders, Silver light, Arriba, Good lil boy, the list is endless, to be honest.

Pirate king was actually a song they published before they debuted so it’s basically pre debut. they published the process in a variety show called code name is ateez and that’s when hongjoong came up with his trademark (the laugh) too. he wanted to have a “pirate laugh”. what’s also crazy is that a world class choreographer gifted them the choreography on the chorus since they’ve met each other when ateez was training and preparing for debut in LA and went along really well. The rest of the choreography was made by ateez themselves.

Cyberpunk needs to be watched with the choreography. Please watch the stage performance! They never disappoint.

thank you for another episode of the ateez deep dive, i love seeing you guys get so hyped up listening to ateez lmao also just a quick recommendation: ateez are starting off 2024 with 4 unit music videos (matz by hongjoong and seonghwa, youth by mingi and yunho, it's you by san, yeosang and wooyoung and everything by jongho), so far only matz has been released but seeing your reactions to those 4 MVs once they're all out would be so much fun ! :)

the song at the end of say my name is “precious” and the song at the end of answer is “sector 1”! theyre both bsides so they don’t have MVs, but they do have great live performances! especially precious, it’s usually performed back-to-back with ateez’s other debut song “treasure”. other songs i’d recomment are “rocky” and “the real” (both title tracks)! also, hongjoong and seonghwa just released an MV for their song “matz” and it’s CRAZY

I'm loving your Ateez journey! They have a super impressive, varied and versatile vocal line! And you haven't even heard them live yet... I think you'd like their pre debut KQ fellaz performance videos (3 full team, 1 Yunho solo) for their dancing skills. If cyberpunk was a win, Take me home is a similar genre and one of my faves. More hype songs with mvs - Rocky, The Real (super fun!). Bsides from the outlaw album are so impressive - Dune, Django, wake up especially if you're happy doing some lyric vids (although they did do a showcase for that album release with This World and Outlaw songs live which I *think* are reactor friendly vids). Songs with mvs to show of vocals - don't think you've done Turbulance yet, maybe Aurora and Utopia too?

Vocal line in ateez..are...all of them 😂😂 The king vocal is held by Jongho, but if he's absent in live peform, the high note will take care of by hongjoong or san San specialist in falsetto part Seonghwa and yunho is an all rounder vocalist Hongjoong and mingi the rapper, but they can sing very well too, mostly in ballad song or their solo song Yeosang deep voice is the treasure of vocal line, he did a cover song and its a prove that he can do the high note too Wooyoung voice so smooth and sexy, you can recognize it right away 😂❤

I would definitely recommend listening to Wave, Utopia, Aurora, and The Real. All of them are from their old summer album, besides The Real, so definitely come in expecting a summer-y, feel good feel to the music. All of them have videos, although the video for Utopia is the Japanese version of the song. Of their older stuff, Utopia has always been one of my favorites. Aurora was actually written and produced by the capitan, Hongjoong. I'm pretty sure it's one of the only songs that was produced by Hongjoong in their entire discography (don't quote me on that, I'm not too sure). The Real was a song they had to create for a show called Kingdom: Legendary War (Stray kids was on it too and Stary kids won the entire thing). It was ATEEZ's final performance and they made a video for it, this time with Mingi (he was on hiatus for mental health reasons). Wave was their first ever win on Music Bank, so just because of that I think it's worth checking out. I'm sorry this was so long, just wanted to give you slight background info on the songs. Follow up on this.... you guys should watch pre debut performance videos they released. As you can guess, they released them before they released Pirate King as like a kind of teaser of what we would get. There are three videos with all of them, and the last video is a solo performance with Yunho.

Ateez have a no skip discography honestly, so I'm loving all the love your giving each song you've checked out! Over the years each member has really worked on their craft and brought so much to the group. I hope you can check out more of their b-sides at some point! They really show off more in the b-sides in my opinion.

I rarely see Atiny recommend Horizon, which I never understand because it's just a damn good song. Plus the dance practice is 🔥 and I'll never get over Yeosang's iconic outfit.

Our vocal guy is jongho. He's the main vocalist and the one with high notes every single time. He's also the best 4th gen vocalist. If you want to focus on their vocals, i would suggest turbulence(live), mist(live), dreamy day(sound bomb). Or maybe another deep dive : rocky, the real, thanxx, treasure, paradigm. All their bsides are as good as cyberpunk or maybe better. Listen to the world album ep whenever you guys have the time. ❤

9:55 this dance move even has a story (aside from Atiny losing their minds when Mingi does it on stage). It actually got stolen by another artist, and it went viral for that artist. Wooyoung called him out on stage for it. They've had this happen a couple of times both with their dances and whole songs.

Lot of ATEEZ's bside will amazed you. Some are mindblowing more than title track if I had to be honest. Listen to This World, Dune, Django, Mist, Take Me Home, Good Lil Boy, Precious... ahh i was hoping you'd react to a live performance of Cyberpunk, it's an um... intense one lmao. Live performances are where ateez shine the most so i definitely recommend reacting to some! (and going to see them live if they come near yall, which they might since they're going on tour this year, it's life changing and i'm not even kidding. Amazing performers fr)

Cyberpunk was my first Ateez song! It was on a playlist I was working out to and I became obsessed!!!! A couple of months later I thought “What do they look like?” And watched a live performance of Cyberpunk(you should watch one. The choreo is amazing.) and I fell in love. I’m a Mingi bias but I know how that Captain be wrecking people

So my introduction to ateez was the show Kingdom, and I was hooked from the moment Hongjoong spit blood and said Hakunamatata. So, if you have time and wanna commit to a series, all their performances for Kingdom are amazing and a definite mustnfor any atiny at some point. Plus, they did 3 collabs with stray kids and btob (thet called their collab group mayfly) that are all my Roman Empire. Especially the vocal collab cover of IU's Love Poem. I cried. actual tears.

The B sides truly are the best! Some more songs with MVs that would be a great watch are "The Real," "Don't Stop," "Thanks," and "Rocky" and there are so many more as Ateez would often release two music videos for one comeback! Absolutely loved the reactions!! :)

To hear the different ranges of certain members, I would also recommend The Leaders, Dune, Horizon and Wake Up. Also check out the KQ Fellas... This is Ateez pre debut where they did performance dance videos which shows how in sync they have always been when it comes to dancing together and feeding off each others energies. In their World Ep2- I love Dune and the Wake up. If you guys haven't listened to them, I hope you will. Sooo good, the whole is great as well.

Main vocal: Jongho. The vocal line also includes San, Seonghwa, and Yunho. Legitimately, though, all of them can sing competently, and Hongjoong is a surprisingly strong vocalist since he is known for his rapping. If you want to check out HIS vocals, I recommend reacting to his Lee Mujin Service video, but his by.Hongjoong series is fantastic. San's cover of Breathe is beautiful, and Seonghwa's covers (including Angel Baby) are excellent. Jongho things to react to: his Gravity OST live performance, his OST covers, and... well... anything he does. Love you guys! I like that you are really talking about the tracks and what you think. My suggestions for next dive: The Real - I love the MV and the live versions are wild (some of the members talk in their own dialects in the song, so that is cool also). Turbulence - MV and a live performance if you want to check out their vocals WIN - no MV, but there is a live version from their tour (never seen KQ block stuff from their channel) HALA HALA - you watched the MV, but any live version is amazing… this song birthed the demon line (Hongjoong, Seonghwa, and San) Utopia - there is an MV for the Japanese version; vocals are amazing on this one

There are several live versions of Cyberpunk. I think there is MNET version, so you'd probably have to cover the screen, but there are a few fan posts too from Seoul. Well worth watching one of them since it's more dancing which they are amazing at. There are also funny versions where the other members try to do San's part in the beginning. Mingi's got spicy.😂
