I think the munitions were stored in Poland so they could be deployed quickly to Ukraine. They’re probably on their way to the front line. ⚔️🇺🇸🤝🇺🇦✌️

- "If Scholz doesn't want to send Taurus, he will have to go." Did you actually think before writing that comment? If it were only about Scholz' personal preference, the matter would be easy. There are other things involved that we know about, and probably things that we don't know about. A wise person remembers the latter too. One reason Scholz has mentioned is that giving Taurus missiles to Ukraine would require German specialists to go inside Ukraine to help with using the missile system (not just training Ukrainians to use it) In other words German military would be directly participating to the war. That would be a huge step with unknown consequences, and no allied country (to our knowing) has taken that step so far.

Exactly! I said it from the beginning, Scholz and Biden agreed not to send long-range missiles in 2023. But now the US agreed to send 300km ATACMS and soon Scholz will agree too and allow to send TAURUS. Better late than never.. ❤️☮️🇺🇦 Slava Ukraini! 🇺🇦☮️❤️

It makes sense to send all variants of Atacim missiles to Ukraine and also implementation of a no fly zone makes sense.

The 61 billion aid package will make Uncle Vlad really happy. He will be singing KUMBAYA for sure.

Sadly Scholz is not a leader, not a good politician and worst of all a scared and weak man. I wouldn't get my hopes up for getting Taurus while Scholz has any say in this. German politics right now is just as bad as it was under Schroeder...and we see where that brought us.

The phrase 7-month delay in referencing aid is offensive and drastically mischaracterizes the situation. The Ukraine Democracy Defence Lend-Lease Act of 2022 was waiting in the US for Ukraine to use in the 18 months prior to those 7 months, but Ukraine never bothered to use it. The situation would have been drastically different if it had.

About those German Taurus missiles they are not in production anymore. The original production line of the Taurus missiles produced only a limited number. A speculative amount of 600 missiles have been produced in the past. Germany at this moment still has about 150 to 300 Taurus missiles. So there are a few question about the Taurus: Why is it not in production anymore. Can the production line be restarted. Why are there so few numbers of Taurus missiles produced. Might the Taurus missiles have issues. Most of the answers might be very plausible. It begs the question what is the reason that the German government haven't put the missile back into production, only answer is that they will not give these missiles to Ukraine. Speaking at a March 13 parliamentary question-and-answer session, Scholz stuck to his long-held talking points for Taurus, a bunker-busting, terrain-hugging missile with a range of 500 kilometers that can fly below the radar of air defenses. He argued the complex sequence of identifying targets and programming the weapon to strike them, theoretically as far away as Moscow, should remain in Bundeswehr hands.

What nonsense, BW has 612 Taurus in stock, 120 of which are operational and the rest are currently being updated (software updates and renewal of individual components). According to the manufacturers MBDA Deutschland GmbH and Saab Bofors Dynamics AB, they are able to put the production lines back into operation. By the way, the individual components for the “renovation” are also manufactured there!
