On A320 the main parts of the fuel-pump pressure switch are the body and the banjo adapter. Inside the body, there's a flexible diaphragm, a switch mechanism, and an electrical microswitch. The flexible diaphragm acts like a barrier, keeping the switch mechanism and microswitch safe from the fuel. When the fuel pressure reaches 0.55 bar (8 psi), the diaphragm moves to trigger the switch mechanism, which opens the microswitch. Conversely, when the fuel pressure drops to 0.41 bar (6 psi), the diaphragm moves the other way, closing the microswitch.
