At The Railyard: Feather River Route
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
...Western Pacific's alternative to building over the mountains was to follow the Feather River canyon. The architecture involved in orchestrating this makes this an impressive line in real life. However, we all know that Microsoft Train Simulator has its shortcomings. Can it handle the 3DTrains recreation?

This was the first 3D Trains pack I bought. I tried to convince myself it was worth the 50 bucks, then I loaded it up and jaw dropped.
This will be my next route!
I like the HD version. You're right, 50$ costs waaaaayyyy too much!
Whoa there buster... This is pretty darn close to the real thing, both in looks and in sound! These diesel units (not to mention the beautiful scenery) could pass for the real thing any day of the week.
Rockies in it's finest? FRC isn't in the Rockie's it's technically the Sierra's but far from the Rockie's
99.5!? THAT BEAT DONNER PASS!
I never heard of WP until I found the page for Feather river route, then I did some research.
Kristi Wilson is right about the Keddie Wye. Also, do you think the Rockies are the only mountain range? The WP Feather River Route is in the SIERRAS!

+Michael Dougfir The same mountain range as the famous Donner Pass, which coincidentally actually saw many rerouted WP trains from Feather River(or actually, not coincidentally at all, because the routes were located right next to each other, and the railroads that operated them were partners)

OK, I'll go with that. I have seen the sets of parallel rails. They are also in the rotary snow plowing videos for the Sierras.

+Michael Dougfir 4:48 shows the Keddie Wye, but yeah, he probably should have mentioned it in the review.
Oh, BTW, I think I will add Western pacific into my series, but not Union pacific, because I don't wanna make an exact clone of The Full Bucketneirs. If I get Feather river route, I will post character videos.
aaaahhhh, now I've seen everything!
DAMM!! this is an amazing route!!! definately *****
That’s The Silver Streak Music From ConrailFan76
Ok, thanks!
Well done Nick. I tip my hat off to you. yet another wonderfully done route review. I am also a proud owner of the route and I'm really glad I decided to buy it. BTW can I request a route for a future review?
DAMN! I wish I could afford this!
Absolutely phenominal! Best video yet for one of the best routes I've ever seen! And this is MSTS still? I've seen Benjamin Button - but this is ridiculous! LOL The movements in the cab - is that part of the cabview, or some added camera effects? It's well done either way, and more realistic than Trainz or anything else I've seen. And I suppose the OBS interior could be swapped out for something better... But still - I know what you're saying. So much work on the 'outside' and so little 'in'.
My Great Grand Father was the conductor on the California Zephyr for the Feather river Canyon and the name for the canyon came because the people who found it saw feathers in the river from the migrating birds thus the name my family is amazing because of all the history

Yet, despite that, your name is SantaFe5central.
@aslkfja You could still buy MSTS for your PC from Ebay or Amazon...
Anyone who calls themselves a railroad fan should know about the WP and u couldve shown the Keddie wye
I wish I had A train sim again
BTW, could you review 3DTS storm of '52 add-on? You don't have to.
To bad the CTC signaling system isn't in action nor viewable.
What's the name of the horn used at 3:00? I'd like to get it.
@TheBigboyfan It's actually spelled Amtrak.
@trmania no amtack is on the line
@TheBigboyfan Whats Amtack? LOL
@trmania o in 1968 sorry i was thinking 1971
@Espeelover amtrack
Will you be reviewing the Train Simulator version?

He just did, MSTS's official name is just "Train Simulator" (Microsoft is the company that made it, not the name prefix) You must be new around here. Us old breed railsimmers still call TS2018 "Railworks", even though Dovetail, in all their wisdom, have omitted that part of the title for almost half a decade now. Call me old fashioned, but I think producers should be a little more creative with the names for their simulators, it seems like a dishonest tactic trying to fool people into thinking they're the only version available.
