At The Drive-In - Quarantined - Live on Channel V

I've decided to start uploading my ATD-I video collection, some of this stuff was pretty rare when I got it so I imagine it'd be even harder to find now. Video uploaded under Fair Use doctrine etc etc, I'm just trying to get these videos out there.
Part of the "Live on Channel V" videos. Know more details, let me know.

You can get a sense of De Facto, Mars Volta, and Sparta all in this performance.

Plenty of bands that perform at a much higher level than this currently. Literally, take your pick. Also plenty of bands that don't have a shit lead guitarist like Omar. :P Should of never let Ward leave the band, he was the heart and soul - that showed if you ever heard any of Sparta's material.

Brad Murphy Sparta is cool but calling omar a shit lead guitarist doesn't hold true. Have you heard any early volta? Are you joking? If someone wants to quit a band then let them bounce its nobody's fault for "letting them leave" the fuck?

yeah i also heard about them using recycled stuff from at the drive in on that album from the mars volta. but i dont know which specific songs have things from at the drive in. i think i heard viscera eyes has recycled parts but vermicide is making more sense to have been some sort of unreleased song from at the drive in that was changed in certain parts for mars volta.

"Viscera Eyes" evolved from a song originally written by Omar while in At the Drive-In." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amputechture i see nothing about vermicide tho.

im pretty sure Viscera evolved from an Omar solo track called "Jacob Van Lennepkade II" he wrote in Amsterdam, its a great song actually, check it out! although you may be right about them using old ATDI leftovers here and there.

I know a lot of people think it was Fugazi, but in my opinion Relationship of Command created the post-hardcore sub-genre.

I can relate to your comment, but still is historically inaccurate as fugazi were there, at this level, many years before

ATDI influenced post hardcore as we know it now, but they were inspired by Fugazi, who were inspired by bands they were in before, like One Last Wish, Embrace, Rites Of Spring etc. Imo, Bad Brains layed foundation for Post Hardcore, especially songs like F.V.K. intro guitar riff definitely inspired many alt rock bands and directly used in last resort by papa roach lmao
