@ An obviously deranged man angry after a fight with his girlfriend went on a shooting spree killing 22 confirmed people (there may be more). He set fire to some of the properties and the investigation is ongoing. He was dressed as a R.C.M.P officer and had a replica of their car allowing him to travel across the province killing, he was found and shot and killed by the R.C.M.P.

As a U.S. citizen, it makes me sad to hear such a terrible event occurring in one of our greatest allied countries. Edit: I apologize if anyone took this as me implying the lives of our allies are more valuable than the lives of our enemies. All human lives are just as valuable. This event in particular just hit close to home.

He shot my cousin's and their animals and then set their house on fire to cover it up. He disguised himself to be a police officer. I don't know if he was dressed up as a police officer when he killed my family members. It's just horrible, I don't understand why he did this. He killed 19 people in 12 hours over a 30 mile radius.

@@michaellim4165 I am very lucky, in so far as i was already living as a hermit pretty much before this broke. Walk the dog in the park twice a day and hit the grocery store every 3rd week. I literally have not been within 6 feet of anyone for months!

@George Washington There are better defenses than guns, and guns create more problems. AmeriKKKa has so many mass shootings because guns are just as easy to get as anything. There's a video online of some social experiment where some kid asked a gas station for some cigs, alcohol and drugs, yet when he asked for a gun from some fringe-market, the gun nuts gave him a gun with no regrets. Pathetic. Guns create more evil than good. This gun was smuggled from the U.S. Gun laws are very restrictive and solid in Canada, and statistics show that those laws work. Show compassion for the victims instead of bashing them. I highly doubt you'd stand a chance against some guy with a power gun who was disguised as a RCMP officer and had the car and uniform.

i live about an hour away from where it started, and i even recognized some of the places in the video. it feels so close to home, and I really cannot believe this happened in our small homely province. sending prayers to the victims and their families, and that those injured can heal. so shocked.

I still cannot believe that this happened. It is so terrible what the world has come to. Rest in peace to everyone who lost their lives in this terrible tragedy. Lots of love from New Brunswick 🇨🇦❤️

We have enough going on in this world. This is beyond tragic. My heart goes out to all the families of these innocent victims. I am from Nova Scotia and just can't believe the devastation of what had happened. This is senseless and horrific.

This guy was 20 mins from me on the highway on his way to my city, lot of people in the city knew him too he was so normal and polite I hear, it’s insane to think someone like this was walking among us for so long while he planned this out. His acts stained my city permanently. Prayers to those affected.
