At home TPMS removal WITHOUT special equipment breaking a tire bead

Here's how you can remove your TPMS units at home. If you go in to a tire shop they might charge up to $20 a wheel to pull them and refill them with air. Here you can see what it takes to do it at home. I used an inexpensive tool for pulling a new valve stem into place. See below for a link to purchase one for yourself.

if there is no tpms sensor on the tire will a tire stem like this rotate around when trying to twist the cap off? I know i have a tpms sensor issue and only 1 of my tires stems will twist around in circles and Im wondering if that is why, there is no leaking or anything; Im just curious bc I bought the car used and I use an alternate way or monitoring the pressure in the tires from something I bought off amazon but if its only 1 that needs to be replace I would rather do that lol

@@andresarme tpms sensors must be programmed to the car for it to read them. If you simply install a sensor the car will not read it. There is a special scan tool to do it.

Thanks, I had got lost because, at least for my car, the sensors can be set by just removing or pulling air to the tires and a key combination on the dash. Anyway I feel the important on the video is how to remove the sensors.

So, if I don't have scan tool, there is no other way to program, or rest the new sensor?
