I love it comimn back every year, as often as I can, Sligo is worth a thousands and thousands of visits :-) loooooove it!

The reopening of the Western Rail Corridor would connect Sligo train service with Mayo, Roscommon & The North.

Thank you for all the information on Sligo's restaurants. I will be taking the train from Dublin, and walking around. I do love fresh seafood!!

What a great county sligo is it deserves much more recognition and attention stunningly beautiful

The Bistro on O'Connell St is good especially the early bird offers...before half seven I think?...Coach Lane and The Silver Apple v. good too...Tobergal Lane for lunch is great...lots to choose from!:) Enjoy your trip!

A bit touristy, but brings back memories of when lived there. A resident of Martin Savage Terrace no less!!

I`m from Sligo so I`ll love it anyways, but in reality, it is a great place to live, quiet town and great countryside

My surname is Brennan and my great grandparents are from Sligo..I'm not sure if there is any relatives left in Ireland, I know most moved to USA but mine came to Australia :(

@magiclard sligo is one of the most worthwhile places in ireland to visit... just look at the photos and videos of everything natural and manmade in the town and county... the town has tons of culture, there's always exhibitions of history and art on in the summer... and the food is great if you know where to look.. i reccommend Lyons on Wine St in Sligo town! make sure to take in the wonders of leitrim too such as Parke's castle and lough gill on the boat tour or by car!

It's a wonderful place to live and, of course, it's the home of Sligo Rovers, Westlife, W.B Yeats,Countess Markievicz, Irish football International Paul McGee, Traditional band Dervish, Country star Patrick Feeney and the County is steeped in a rich history of traditional music with the Coleman Music Centre and many other outstanding features.
