Ah, who the Lord blesses, no man curse. My grand aunt, Linda Dingham, lived in that sweet parish, Hanover, in Askenish. She passed at 111 years old, a few years ago. Long live the centenarians!

So very happy to learn of this very special lady Miss Lea living in Hanover. My own grandmother lived to over 100 years too (Cairn Curran Westmoreland) and when Miss Lea used the word "raw" to describe something it brought back memories of my Granny who used the said word about certain things. I hope her stamina and faith will keep her as a star to treasure. The special love of her Granddaughter and love of other extended family members is a blessing and long may this continue. Jamaican can indeed call Miss Lea a National Treasure and put a Plaque in honour of her in the area she lives. Thank you for helping to make her famous while she's still alive.

Mamma is golden. We should be so lucky to live this long in such present world. Leaving bj's this morning I got in a conversation with the associate at the door. She is 101yrs old retired detective, still working by choice. She showed me her bent ring finger that was injured from detaining a prisoner. She has 54 grands and great grands in total and a great great grand on the way. The things you learn from individuals from saying a simple good morning. Love this video, God Bless mamma

That is one of the best grandma and the advice she gives her granddaughter is the same kind of advice my grandmother mar give me as one of the older grand daughter and I live by her advice up to today my grandmother went home to glory at 103 years.I love to see my senior especially my centurion who are still around and still can communicate with us may God almighty continue to bless and keep you grand mother dear 🙏😇💓🥰🇹🇹

Can I be honest with you Bijou? I wanted to hug her too but restrained myself (and kept my social distance) since we are in the covid season. I was sure to wear my mask at all times to protect her. She's a blessing to mankind.

Don't know her but she puts me in the mind of my mom who is Eighty - seven. Its a blessing because only a few people living to reach her age, May the good lord continues to comfort her and shine his blessings on her.

God bless miss Lea, I have take note of her diet and it does makes a lot of sense to me. I hope more long life of her going forward. I think family support played a big role for her longevity .

I was blessed and honored too when I met this beautiful gentle grand grandma. She had beautiful skin and had retained her cheeky sense of humour. Her soul and spirit definitely rest in peace now.

Thank you so much for the inspiring work you are doing by sharing these rare treasures of Jamaica. It’s really a blessing when some one of that age, can walk and not bedridden with pain . If she wasn’t a good grandma her grand daughter wouldn’t be there and giving up opportunities just to stay with her ,so it shows that when you live a good ,decent and Christian life, God will bless you with good health and long life , because Psalm 90:10 says, a man’s life span is three score and ten years , but by reason of strength they be eighty.. so she is doing lots of overtime and is still going and looking good.

What a blessing. The stories she could share with us. Her eyes and ears have seen and heard a lot down thru the years. I hope her grand, great grands and probably great great grands have gained her skills. We allow our elders to get away from us before we realize the things of value they possess.

I was raised by my grandmother and grandfather who died at ages 93 and 103 respectively, it was such a joy to have them around.
