Asus Zenfone 9 vs Google Pixel 6a vs Xiaomi 12 | Best Compact Phones Compared!
Ғылым және технология
Comparing Asus' Zenfone 9 vs Google's Pixel 6a and the Xiaomi 12, to see which compact smartphone has the best camera tech, gaming performance, battery life and beyond! I've reviewed all three of these phones and I'd happily use any full-time although the Zenfone 9 really impresses - and the Pixel 6a is considerably cheaper, so budget may be a big factor.
For camera lovers, the Google phone performs well for the price. Some will prefer the boosted hues of the Zenfone 9, although Asus' blower does produce incredibly warm, artificial looking video. The Xiaomi 12 is a happy medium, not tinkering so much with the colours, although the selfie cam does struggle more in strong or low light.
Gamers will adore the Zenfone 9 and Xiaomi 12, which boast Snapdragon smarts, dedicated cooling tech and proper gaming tools. Genshin Impact on max settings? No worries! The Pixel 6a unfortunately is best used for PubG, CODM and other more basic Android titles.
Battery life is good on all three compact smartphones although the Zenfone 9 again wins this round, outperforming with a smaller capacity battery. It is defeated on the software support side, however.
So which do you think is best?

If enough of us buy the Zenfone 9 it will encourage Asus and probably other brands to bring back flagships in a compact factor. If we don't then we might let the only compact phone left die and we're then left with huge chunky tablets to carry around! Remember that consumers are the ones that make or break a business. Besides, how many phones still offer a headphone jack?!

While I fully agree with the statement, the problem is on Asus', not on the consumers'. Its availability is so limited that even If I wanted to buy it (Which in the past, when I was looking for a phone, I considered its predecesor) I can't. It's not available in my country, hell, not even my region. Pixel suffers from the same problem. "damn, people don't buy Pixels, wonder why?" and then you go to their website and some of their past phones had oficial availability in 3 countries, three!! How do they expect to sell with that strategy? Asus I might understand, but Google has no excuse in terms of funding and expanding.

@@subspaceanomaly Because they have ROG and Zenfone lineups that come out annually that they put a lot of work into.. In 2 years they will release 4 more phones and then you'd have to be taking care of 5 phones softwares. I guess it wouldn't be an issue if they were earning a lot from the sales of their zenfones but as far as I know phone market is where they make the least of their profits. When I heard about LG shutting down their phone division, I thought the same fate might await Asus but I'm really surprised to still see them go this strong even with that little profits (especially due to hardware they put into their phones for the price.. They use sony's sensors, samsung's screens and SnapDragon flagships SOC's in their phones for the price of under $1k every year and u know using other companies's hardwares costs a lot since they're all competitors in the phone market - even snapdragon has had a phone come out). For the ZenFone 9 it's only about the colour software. When you see it on the ZenFone the colour look normal but when you use editor you gotta change the colour scale/palate (idk what's the term) to make it look normal, i think it only occurs in 4K & Above in ZenFone 9.
I have the Xiaomi 12x which is basically the 12 minus the wireless charging, SD 8 Gen 1 and a few gimmicks, a much cheaper price as well that would be worthy to include into this comparison. I like the Zenfone 9 because of the compact size and audio jack though and would have gone for it if it landed 6 months earlier, I'd shell for a dinky high end phone with that battery size but its a little too late now.
