Agreed, be tough to find one bad cap without a thermal camera. Those shorts end up effecting half the board sometimes. Although that one did show a tiny hole in it, still be like a needle in a haystack.

( these mosfet should not be grounded at all). Chipset amd 47b2 1851 218-0891011 Mobo is gigabyte b450 aorus elite v. i hop that you get my point, and sory about my bad English.

new 2023 asus laptops (tested in TUF A15) will not power on without the back cover installed. It seems there is a mechanism that prevents the laptop to power on and returns it to shipping mode (which means you need to plug the charger first before powering on). I even tried removing the back cover when the laptop is powered on, the moment I remove it power to the laptop is cut-off. This is just a heads-up in case you get any repairs in the future.

Hi Alex, I have a noob question. I was wondering if you could take a quick minute someday in one of your videos to explain the SMD books you have for sale. I took a look at your shop for the options but am confused which is which and for what. What is 201, 402, 603 etc etc please ?? If I am just a hobbyist looking to keep a variety of SMD components, what would you recommend ? I don't need a commercial quantity, just enough to be covered for the odd repair. Thanks very much. 201 book 170 values 50pcs each = 8500pcs 402 book 170 values 50pcs each = 8500pcs 603 book 170 values 50pcs each = 8500pcs 805 book 170 values 50pcs each = 8500pcs 1206 book 170 values 50pcs each = 8500pcs

I know it's less likely that two components have failed, but having removed the two capacitors first, it only takes a moment to test each one for a short before soldering them back. That avoids the possibility that one of them is short _as well as_ something else.
