Both the laptops are good for programming because both laptops come with similar specifications but with one difference of flip touchscreen in S14. It completely depends upon you if you want to get a touchscreen for your use. As far as I can recommend you a touchscreen is something that we rarely use during programming, so a bigger 15 inch display would suit you better. ASUS S15 OLED can be one of the best options for a laptop for programming.

Hi Im Rob and I am starting to record my first cd. My main instrument is 6 string bass but I play everything. I’ll be using the recording program called Reaper. Hello. Thanks for your review. I ended up purchasing one and it is fantastic! The display is truly vibrant and the processor is really quick. It's truly a huge upgrade from my Lenovo Thinkpad T580 which I purchased 7 years ago. I would like to know if, by any chance, there is a second internal M.2 Gen 4 slot available to increase storage. All specifications about this laptop are silent on this matter. Thanks for your wonderful work. Much appreciated! Keep it up!

Good intro but I find it incomplete. 1. How good is the webcam? 2. How good is the onboad speaker? ASUS laptops have a reputation that the speakers are not loud even for a video call.

Intel Evo is a certification provided by Intel to some laptops for their performance. Intel Core is used in all laptops, even to the one's that come with Intel Eva Certification. Intel Evo certifications states that laptop has fast charging, fingerprint or facial unlock, fast awake time, long lasting battery, etc. So buying a laptop with Intel Evo Certification would always be better.

Is there an additional RAM slot for an upgrade? I bought this laptop but the powerful processor on this laptop consumes RAM in the blink of an eye and before you know it everything starts lagging because the RAM consumption has crossed above 99%. All I am using is Chrome and VS code.

I think ram is not expandable over 16gb

Can i update the memory? The processor suports up to 64 gb with two slots. Is the ram soldered? can i un-solder to add 2 x 32 gb, pls?

I'm a student and want to buy this laptop for programming but I'm little bit interested in content creation as well so is it impossible to edit content in this laptop? That's why I'm confused otherwise i have to stretch my budget 50% for asus 16 pro OLED, almost same specs without evo certification plus less battery but with 4050 so I'm confused please help, and i check Amazon comments many people aren't getting pantone sticker but why?

It’s not impossible to edit videos on this laptop. You can easily edit videos in Premiere Pro on this laptop. For average workflow this laptop is good enough but if you are looking for a laptop for dedicated video editing then you must check out laptops with dedicated graphics card.
