Thanks for showing the upgrade options for this laptop. I've never seen so many angled sockets and connectors on a board, ever. Really wanted to know same things other commenters asked, can we add a second internal drive (looks like a NO) and max ram on this is 12Gb according to Asus but wouldn't this chipset support more? At least 16Gb?

Max ram on this is 12Gb according to Asus, but I'll bet it will support a second 8gb SODIMM.

​@@younustech If you install 2 dimms in same channel slot they will work in single channel (if tot talk about desktop motherboards). Some laptops have only one channel design motherboards. So don't tell people tales about non existing "intelligent".

I think it had soldered 8gb. They added 8gb and now have a total of 16gb

I actually went to a shop to buy that one but he had a samsung 8 GB DDR4 (3200 MHz) PC4-3200AA-SA1-11 just taken out of a new laptop which was in half price. Also the soldered ram in vivo book is samsung I just go ahead with the trend 😊

Good view, but I hope you aren't treating other peoples laptops like this. Wear an anti static strap or one day you will kill a machine and end up getting a nice large bill for it. You won't be able to show you didn't cause the problem as they will use this video as evidence.

It's not the worst, in old VivoBooks (x540mb for instance) you need to disassemble the keyboard to access the mainboard to change RAM or storage device.

Well the back piece is definitely the cheapest plastic but it was easy to remove also I checked inside and there were some missing screws 😂 I guess this is down to this how you calculate the costs nowadays.
