Any ways to repair one of the antenna holder came out. How do you make it go back in?

i have been searching for this for soo long time! amazing clip simply amazing ! the back thermal pads are 2mm ? and fron ones 2 or 1mm ? the pads are better to be checked after the 3 years of waranty. (if needed changed with arctic or probably better thermal grizzly ones). this router has such a good cooling and the case also. Comparing to asus rog gs-ax3000 or 5400 - (they have no holes in the upper part of the case)- i belive the boards are almost identical except the front LEDs- rt 82u has more of them and is looking nicely. Thank you for the clip

PBKreviews i will answer then 😜 front ones have 2 mm and the ones on the back 3 mm. The stock ones will last 3-4 years but there can be easily changed to something good like thermal grizzly minus pad 8 pads! I did not look but maybe you can tell me - are there any pads under the shields??? (Asus used to do this on cheaper routers and this make it so hard and expensive to change them)

Lol ya, trying to expand on more items to take apart. Ya true, however if I am not mistaken, I feel like they need a certain amount of separation between the antenna as well as some extra room for the heat etc but not sure.

The shape of the router is mostly marketing tactics to make it look "cool". But other than that, the heatsinks on the motherboard still needs breathing room to dissipate the heat. I would have liked to have seen better heat transfer tape and maybe even a low cfm quiet running fan to help dissipate the heat as these units create a lot of heat. If the manufacturer thought they could have saved a little more money with using less plastic, they would have!

🤣 has more cooling than some laptops 🤣

Why would anyone need to see how to take apart a router? It's not a phone or a device that needs special tools or knowhow not to damage anything, and there are no serviceable parts inside or anything that wears out or needs replacing. (or possible to replace for most) Just bizarre. 🤷‍♂️

Some people change out the antenna or extend the cables to have better range etc. It happens also that people break an antenna and just need replacing a cable or single antenna so they don't want to pay $200-$300 for a new router when they don't have to. And finally there are people who want to see how its built and how well the internal cooling is to see if it would be worth buying for the long term or not. Many routers fail or die out quickly (especially linksys).

Thermal pads needs to be changed after 3-4 uears lol 😂🙈
