It is a great case and I love the fact that I can carry all of my accessories with me in the case. The amount of protection it offers makes me feel sure that this is the correct case as well. I have just bought this case for my Switch OLED as I'm using 3rd party joycons and it makes it the length of a steamdeck this case is perfect.

This is exactly what i needed, the case i ordered with the rog ally was just way too small and couldnt even fit the charger. I also already have had only amazing experiences with smartphone protectors from Spigen, for me it's one of the AAA premium brands. Thank you my man!

update: bought it in germany ans sadly the power brick doesnt fit under the ally, making the case worthless

Thanks for the review. I bought the steam deck version for my ally because it has the storage underneath and for some reason the slly version of this case doesn’t.

Spigen are making a version specifically for the Ally. Better wait for that.

Menn I have searched for several days a protector for Storage of the Ally, this looks very good, I think I have seen it on Amazon but I was afraid that it would not fit well. Now I've made up my mind and I'm going to buy it. Thanks a lot. Excellent video!!!

Yes I bought several from Amazon and this was the only one that actually worked and worked amazing!!

It will have extra space when some cases comes out and It will can cary ally with case on it... amazing

Two questions: given there is spaces from each corner, does your Rog Ally slides side ways when you carry it around or does it stays in place because of the velcro strap in the middle? and the storage at the bottom, just want to clarify, that is the official charger adapter that comes with Rog Ally package?

Also got mine a few days ago, love it, fits great, around 20€ very inexpensive

A big thing ive seen using cases meant for other devices is the M1 and M2 buttons on the back interfere with where it rests on the bottom. Does this case have clearance for those buttons?

All my GaN 65W chargers give me full performance - Turbo Mode.

Does it push in the back buttons or the analog sticks? My spare SD case is OK for it but the back pushes in the backbuttons sometimes.

I’m using the Waterfield city slicker case I bought for my Steam deck. I preordered that case for my Steam deck, but it no longer works since I got the project killswitch for my SD. There is some slack on the side, but I’m hoping that it will fill out better when someone makes an Ally grip.

Does a switch have place in the zip part of the case?

Is it fit if i have a kontrolfreek on the thumbsticks, and if i have the powerbank in the pocket, when close the bag, does it contact with the screen of the ally? Sorry for my english

Great case. I have a question does anker 737 will fit inside of front pocket ?

Just a note: the Ally showing 25W with a 65W+ PD charger is a bug. If you check the power draw with the on-screen real-time monitor, you will notice that both (official and regular PD) consume exactly the same amount of power (and FPS), even if the armory crate shows 25W.

You need to order the Dbrand official screen protector. Just because they’ve already made that I’m sure Dbrand will have a protective case / GRIP for the Ally available for preorder by July.

I just emailed them a couple of days ago and they don't have any plans rn to make a case for the Ally. They don't see a damand for it yet that's why.

What about EU charger for the Ally? Does it fit in the storage under the handheld?

More importantly, it isn't covered in branding that screams "steal me".

do you know any usb-c hub for the ally that supports FreeSync?

Lol, good thing I waited, Spigen just released the Rog ally version of this case today.

I'm gonna wait for SPIGEN or another trusted 3rd party to come out with a custom case for the ROG ALLY. For now, I got 45 days left to return the ASUS case back to Best Buy.

Careful. This cloth covered "hard cases" absorb water and it wrecked my steam deck. The ship these cases intentionally in hopes you think it won't absorb rain lightly falling into a window seal

Does the zip on the upper compartment touch the ally when closing ? (My ocd is making me think it might scratch the console)

I've bought this as well and the EU power supply doesn't fit underneath, but left or right of it. Put it upside down so the accessory compartment can be fully used without the thumbsticks limiting the space.

That usb hub you got. Does it support 30w turbo when using the official charger, or just the 25w? Also have you tried a 100w adapter with the USB hub to get the 30w turbo ?

No it's just the standard turbo mode

This thing is fucktastically big... It's more like a travelling luggage than a case....

I wish Dbrand would make a Killswitch cake for the Ally.

I ordered a few steam deck and OLED switch cases for my Ally and they are all a little off. Bumpers pressed, joysticks, etc. Ended up returning them all. Right now I'm using a knockoff of the Tomtoc SD carrying case with the wing divider. It was only $15 on Amazon and will do for now until Ally-specific cases come out. I really want a grip case - even cheap TPU for scratch protection. That plus this carry case and I'm good.

I never get why they have a metal zipper handle that is going to land on the system when the lid is closed. How do they all miss that? Terrible design that is on most cases. The handle should be something soft if it can contact the game system.
