Something like 98% of the world's troubles is because of the disposable economy. There is too much money to be made that way, so they will never change. We don't have much choice because that is all you can find unless you have a guy like this pushing back.
Alex should send a thank you letter to Asus for all the business they have given him.
After 30 years in repairing radios and satellite phones and a variety of other comms devices I just love watching you doing these repairs. You are a master thats for sure. I wish though some of this gear you use to assist in detection and repair was available 30 years ago..even 10 years ago. I am retired from the comms game now but I love this channel

Alex, we all love seeing you do videos, obviously, but any chance Big Boss can do a repair video for the channel? Would love to see him go through his checks, then take apart an Asus laptop (which he probably has done a million of), then reassemble and test. I am sure he has his own style for videos, so however he wants to do it would be awesome. Thanks for all the great work!
Just received my NF.V2 mini grinding pen. Pure class, just like the mini soldering iron. Only thing missing but not really necessary would be an instruction sheet to explain leds. Works really well, just as precise as Alex demonstrates.
Another awesome ROG laptop repair. Hope there isn't any flooding you have to worry about, heard Cali is getting SOAKED right now and it's causing flooding issues. Stay safe Alex!

Northridge, where Alex's shop is located, had only light rain, it lasted less than a day. It sounds like your friend lives in Northern California. Southern California, is pretty much dry desert with little rain year round. I say this as a fellow Californian living in SoCal. Thumbs up for caring about others. 👍
Good job Dr. Alex. The surgeon of all surgeons
Another great video/learning tool. Thank you, as always.
I guess the world would need more skilled repair engineers like you and less asus laptops 🤣

hi sir, thank you for sharing , when i saw the other person on your shop i was amaze and your location is premium downtown area.. keep up the good works. kudos to you and your team... from philippines
Why can you not live by me 😭😭I stopped taking electronics to local repair shops because they either fuck it up more or tell me it can't be fixed.. I tested two places with an Xbox with a loose ribbon cable and both told me it was fully dead and tried to charge me. I showed them the issue and got banned from one of the places. the other actually offered me a job, but I wouldn't work there if you paid me triple hours. Please, please keep doing what you're doing. you are a dying breed to those just wanting money for nothing.
Thanks bro, for sharing valuable ideas. you're helping more people than fixing things. God bless
Great, very great work. Awesome. The perfect team with a lot but great work. Thank you for the video. Greets
Good luck Master..wishing you more success and evolution in electrinc repairs

Thank you, as always.

ASUS IS SOO GOOD ON TURNING OFF AND NOT REBOOTING BACK ! This issue is pain on the ass had this last year
Amezing job big boss right 👍
Good morning, i think i don't understand your mosfet testing method, i guess the small one contact is the gate so you test in diode mode with beep between GND and the gate, but i always used to test Drain-source channel for short, normally a good one shows small voltage drop only in one direction, this because i heard not always the short ruins also drain-gate junction.. how it have to do? thx
Ar 5:30 there is a component that looks SUS af. You might want to give it a second look
Did you end up finding a new larger location?
could you tell us where to get parts to fix are products like a changing port
Alex, please, i am soldering the first QFN chips, Yesterday i was repairing a big TV and at the time to press the chip my fingers burned, pressing the chip is mandatory so how long are your tweezers? Thanks!
Big boss is Man of the man :D ALX
hi do you do any reballs on gpus or cpus
i have been following you for along time and it's the first time i see you speaking Arabic and the boss saying بسم الله 😁 .. where are you from ? I'm following you from Egypt ✌️ ..

In your opinion and experience what are the best and most reliable gaming laptop brands? Nice video. Tks
Respect to you and the lonely BIG BOSS
like that every time big boss want to start the device first he says besmelah🥰
Are you still on track to move to a larger facility?
What I always find surprising is that people have absolutely no shame sending in their filthy devices for repair without as much as wiping them clean first. Look at the state of this laptop in the shot from Big Boss' desk at the end of the video - absolutely disgusting. Alex, just like you have a no-fix fee you should probably add a health-hazard fee to your terms and conditions as well.
always amazed of thermal camera, QUESTION from a noob: what will happen if you will inject 1V 1Amps on a good board, will it damage?
How do you ever get to the non-expedited repairs with so many expedited ones? 😮
How do you inject voltage and what device do you use for it
How do you find a reputable microsolder repair shop if you're not in the UK?
5:31 hole on diode!
I LOVE YOU AND YOUR VIDEOS
Why is there Thermalpaste on the Coils and Mosfets???
Awesome
So i have a 12th gen version of this. Am I eventually screwed and should've stuck with MSI?
Why does it always look like a bomb went off on your bench? How do you keep track of everything piled up on it?
Big Boss with that Jacket looks like A mob Boss 😂
Ur thermal looked like one of the top row of mosfet some where in the middle was getting hot
Nice ✌🏾
6:00 The last bad mosfet is one man's treasure
trouble with gaming laptops today is there packing too many high ends components into a small compact space, i find sticking to the mid range stuff tends to have very little issues, asus tuf laptop i have has gone so well for 2 years with the gtx 1660 no issues what so ever. it is a regular name that pops up for repair but i guess some are lucky some not.
"why does it always have to be that the last thing we measure is the thing that is bad?" this reminds me of when my buddy's dad was looking all through the garage for something, and finally found it, and i said "it's always the last place you look eh?" and he said "yeah, cause after that, you stop looking" lol

that made me laugh really loud, it is so true actually 😂😂😂
maybe this has been asked and answered before but how do you get so many donor boards? Do you ask the customers of the "No Fix"'s if you can keep the item and they sell it to you for a small fee or do they just let you hold at no charge because they dont want it back?
@ariewijaya1679

They swap "unfixable gadget" with unpayable diagnostic fee 😁
awesome
Great video, as alway better than factory.. I was wondering how can you tell just by looking at the mosfets. Which pin is drain, source or gate?
@OnStageLighting

The layout is always the same. Gate is easy to remember as it's the single pad.

Some packages are actually dual MOSFETs rather than a single one.

Most times if you are not experienced you can use the number part of the mosfet to check the diagram

Wow, thanks
@NorthridgeFix Do you think these components blew up because these laptops usually runs quite hot? 95C on CPU is a "normal behavior".
5:31... the hole in the CAP :)
Do it we don't care.... It is cool watching you do that.
Awesome ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
on my asus laptop i have a dead USB A port (no 5v) is it a bad idea to bring 5v to the back side of that port from somwhere else on the board?
nice Vedio ☮️👍
Having a computer with the same issues. How much is it to fix
How to fix blinking battery light?
why does this laptop always short out with the mosfets
Alex-alex >oh that's right, you can't see me raising my hand on the other side of the screen.i think i know the answer to your question !!! WHY IS IT ALWAYS the LAST one we measure??Because when you find IT [meaning in this case the shorted component} there is NO REASON to continue searching. Let's say you lose one of your shoes, when do you STOP looking? That's right>haha Always something good to learn from your videos, the new camera is amazing.
The best amazing
Came in for repair.
Whats with all the thermal paste on the board? :O

I truat your big boss recognises your contribution to NRF and makes you a partner.....
He is the whole universe's boss.
does asus laptop gets bad more then HP or its just becuase they are sold in more no. they end up more in repairs ?
I have a Asus rog gu501, my motherboard failed. I'm not sure why but I'm replacing the board. Do you want mine for parts? I'd rather give it to you if you can benefit from it than throw it away.
