Vlitra is actually spelled Vritra. In Hindu Mythology, Vritra was a demonic being who stole all clouds from the skies, which caused rains to cease and a great drought on Earth. This caused the Lord of the Skies, a god called Indra, to ask several saints to make a weapon for him to go to war. The oldest of the sages sacrificed his physical body so that his spine could be used to make the weapon, which they call "Vajra" - the Sanskrit word for Lightning Bolt. Armed with this, Indra destroyed Vritra and released the clouds. I think the creators of the game mistook the proper name to be Vlitra on account of how the Japanese language doesn't spell words using "L". Or maybe it was changed intentionally because of how the name rhymes partly with the term "obliterate"

@@yourmom9283 I'm pretty sure they are serpent heads, since the being Vlitra is based off of, Vritra, is a serpent or dragon in Hinduism (it's also an Asura, which is more of a classification than an individual). It also seems to be pulling inspiration from Japan's own legendary eight-headed serpent, the Yamato no Orochi.

Glad that Asura's Wrath had become a phenomenon after so many years. A beautiful game, with incredible details and evident effort. ART, music, revenge and anger come together in this perfect work.

I would've liked a Mantra Yasha to deal with the tentacles, and Mantra Asura to deal with the head/face. Seriously, playing as Yasha is awesome, and should've been done a bit more.

Deaus: Do you think charging at everything in front of you can save the day? Asura: Observe.

I love how the credits were used in three boss fights. I also love how Asura constantly loses and regenerates arms.

Asura is confirmed to be the strongest video game character of all time simply because of the feats he’s pulled off out the entire game.

Limitless power vs limitless wrath.

I love how they just argue in the middle of a fight it is hilarious

I remember it taking me hours to beat Oni Akuma on the hardest difficulty. That MF was tough. Anyway, I still play this game on my 360 till this day. This was a wonderful game, seriously. I always played with the original Japanese voices though with subtitles on. Just sounds better to me imo.

I always hated characters sayings something is limitless or something that means they have unlimited of something only to show that it I Does in fact have a limit and gets surpassed which is the dumbest thing ever. You can’t surpass infinity if there is nothing to surpass because you will never catch up with something that doesn’t have an end.

If punching doesn't work, you are not punching hard enough
