I'm genuinely happy that Overture is getting attention at all, such an underrated game that allegedly was what Daisuke originally intended for Guilty Gear from the beginning, I hope we get some more legacy characters as time goes on (I'm rootin' for mah boi Order Sol so I can go Bar Gorilla instead of regular Gorilla)

I am so glad to see someone did a comparison video of the Overture boss and his playable appearence in Strive. I think most of projectile moves are kind of a reference to his "Feel the Steps" move somewhat though they are cubes instead of rectangles in Strive. I am disappointed that his needle projetiles are not in the game since they were in Vastedge at well. Speaking of Vastedge, I wonder if you might do a comparison of his moves in Vastedge and Strive since that is where a lot of is Slash and Heavy Slash moves a from (for the most part, kind of)

Happy Chaos has not met any of the cast except for Asuka before gg strive since he was trapped inside of Aria/The Universal Will/Judgment idek

That was Asuka. Happy Chaos was jumping around possessing random bodies and committing random crimes under the name of That Man, but all the actual appearances and the big stuff was Asuka. Technically Happy Chaos has been spying on multiple members of the series over time, and is the one that exposed Ariels as The Universal Will to help out Sol and the gang stop her plan. But he never did anything overt in the games until the last act of Xrd.

Yes when they add a character that had a theme in previous games They also add their previous themes as well as Thier new theme But you'll have to fish for it (the gacha pulls for artwork and music etc in the game)

Also if you played Guilty Gear XX Asuka R/That Man Imprison I-no In a Cube, Story Mode Path 1 Ending.... XD

Honestly I think it's kind of nice that they are not generic spheres, gives me the idea that it represents Asuka's more refined and technical knowledge of spells. Nothing flashy, but still very cool.

most visual designs in strive are upgrades imo. more refined and less overdesigned.

@@StorseOverdesigned is a perspective thing. If thats the case then there was no problem with the original character designs. Strive is just basic anime now. The details in most characters have been lost in favor of flat faces and unrealistic porportions (unrealistic by camera effect I mean)
