the capacity of the entire venue was 200,000 but the show was set up for 50,000. not sure if you are familiar with setting up stages, but the venue can adjust the show setup to however many tickets are sold as long as its not exceeding the venue limit (200,000). But again, the GA set was set up for 50,000 (meaning fortified fences set up around an area fit for 50,000). He enticed to many people to break in that the show set was immediately over crowded and the fortified barriers around the set could not be toppled over. Creating the chaos and hellish environment that lead to lost lives.

  • @k-rocadams299

Wrong, the concert is in a festival space. I’m told of they fortified fences were only set up in the front, middle and the middle of the back of the performance area, much like rolling loud. So the capacity was okay it’s just how the performance area was set up it made it overcrowded. This is where design flaw lies. the two big screens in the back created the biggest problem and was the main reason so many people were having issues with suffocation and injuries. I was in the front of the crowd at Astroworld at first and we had to go in the back by the screens and go around. This is how many people got stuffed and began to suffocate because they were trying to get out.

The Astro World incident is a good example of how things can go from normal to the worse case possible in a matter of seconds. That's why it's always good to have an escape plan no matter where you are, be prepared and always pay attention to your surroundings. Normally you'll get a "bad feeling" when something bad is about to happen so always trust your gut.

They sold too many tickets for not enough space - greed got to them and they way they handled security was even worse! I have been to many concerts & festivals if you're not close to the stage, it makes no sense to try and force yourself up front. I have a great time being in the 3/4 of the crowd, I can see the stage and when the show is over, I get home faster.

The reason the show isn’t being celebrated IS NOT because of the performance, it’s because people died. Your equivalence is incorrect. People dying isn’t strictly on him, it’s also on Live Nation, security, and Houston PD. Just because it’s his festival, that doesn’t mean he’s responsible for literally everything. Isn’t that obvious? He didn’t organise the event, he didn’t hire the staff, he didn’t work out the logistics. So like I said, your comment doesn’t make sense.

And if 200k people joined the show and didn't kill anyone, if they were properly spread out or if the show went off without any issues people would celebrate it or say he had a successful show. Besides that, again it's HIS EVENT with HIS name on it, he SHOULD be taking a more hands on approach. He has people *he* assigned to do those things so that's him giving his co-sign. You can't receive the money from it but then act like you aren't at fault at all. The show only went crazy because of his doing, because he told his crazy ass fan base to jump barricades in the past or even this show when he said "show is sold out but we will get the wild ones in anyways." You guys are picking at straws, he would still benefit if this event went off amazingly, he would be getting praise for *more then just his performance* if this event went well, they would say how he can really "control a crowd" and how he can put on an amazing event, so no, it's not just about him preforming.

Joe is wrong. They maxed 50k ticket sales. Outside venues has no limits by state law and the potential to hold 250k people. But They weren’t equipped for more than 50k. They ran out of water and were short staffed for medic care before trav got to the stage. Please do research for this discussion to sound more realistic. Kids are allowed to see Astro world and his carnival designs. Stormi was there. His shows were all ages. They Recommended kids leave at 7pm. Trav has a bad reputation for being wild. His fans broke in every yr. this yr was badly planned and with the kids rushing the stage he didn’t provide adequate care or security. This was one of many bad things he does. He excites riots. Trav Been charged x2 for riots before. Don’t protect trav he signed off on All this. No safety standards. They had no planning for crowd surging. This is a sign of unprofessionalism from a multi billion company. Live nation is evil and cheap. I never attend a concert and u can bypass security. Never!!! Once the kids broke in u cancel the show. This ain’t how u suppose to act. This is reckless endangerment and 10 people are dead. A 9 yr old died wanting to listen to crappy sicko mode. This is beyond tragic. No one should die to listen to mediocre music. Trav ain’t all that impressive. Live nation is greedy putting kids at risk for profits. No “rap” concert ever experienced this many causalities. Smdh. Rip to those young lives lost 😞 No one should experience that type of trauma. And hell yeah it’s lawsuit land when u ruined families. Kids died Joe. For no good reason. please discuss with more concern for those lives u can’t replace. Listen to Bharti Shahani’s mother explain how she lost her angel. U will cry. The show doesn’t go on when people are pleading for air. It was a critical situation and he continued to perform for 40 mins while fans are turning blue in vip. An off duty nurse jumped in to help coding patients . A 9 yr old was kickEd, stepped on, his organs crushed. This ain’t normal under an circumstance. This discourages me and many others to trust going to venues.

they need seat at festival concerts and not allow those many people to stand up and push forward crushing people. Only allow a vip section for standing with limited amount of people to go into this section. A seated venue would have stop a lot of this. I use to do security a lot of concerts and seated venues are a huge way to stop to many people to push to the front and allows for more control of security and ushers at the venue.

A lot of great comments here n I’m hyped to add my input. Since Joe wants to cover everything so will I. 1. “Ni**as die haha” yeah, people do die. Usually from bad intentions or negligence from self or others, which leads to 2. 2. Sure the kids were negligent but let’s look at the big picture. What kind of music is being promoted that influence these young impressionable minds? sex, drugs, violence, and chaos. 3. “Music is deeper, it has energy, frequencies.” What kind of energy are you promoting? Mosh, drugs, violence aren’t positive energies. You make and perform these songs knowing the content behind it. Energy doesn’t come from words but your spirit and it transfers. As a global idol, rapping negative energy to kids encourages them to behave how you tell them because you’re rich, famous, and popular. It’s simple psychology that people, especially teenagers will act what you portray because they subconsciously think if they act like that they’ll be like you and have all that you have. 4. You’re an (influencer) as a career, so your influencing these behaviors. If I was a plumber and rated as the most popular and I told y’all adding faulty pipes is the way to go and many died, it’s my fault. I was either stupid or had I’ll intentions. 5. “But all the money made from this”. This goes to greed and putting wealth over safety and human lives. Travis, you’re the puppet but you’re boss makes the agenda and his boss and his boss. You signed up to be the mascot for it and have money and fame because of it. It’s not only the rappers fault but EVERYONE in the entertainment industry promoting this lifestyle since Hollywood was a thing. Added note. The Illuminati was founded in the late 1700s and promoted many elites to this day because they were punished by the catholic priests seeing how they were a satanic cult. Notice how life has changed dramatically since then? Hollywood, cars, T.V’s, celebrities, fall of Christian views. Last note. At the end of the day, satan has been using others since the beginning of time and this is the last trick up his sleeve before time is up for him. Get right with god y’all, me included.
